  As a person new to traveling with a 32 ft travel trailer, consistently making sure I can fit where I can. I have to say the Hitching Post RV was the best - easy access from the Interstate and getting into the park. Of course being a new ie, they are accommodating when needed a pull thru, cause I'm not great at backing up yet. As a woman, the location is very safe and secure. And lastly the folks that run the place are amazing!! They only things tho, wish the restaurant was open. Thank you Hitching Post!!

  I regret having to post my first negative RV review. We had a good experience here once before, but this time we were treated poorly by the female who checked us in. After traveling all day to visit my mom, who is in bad shape in a nursing home, we set up our 5th wheel in 100 degrees. Unfortunately, the property’s water spigot wasn’t working. It was leaking profusely. Our equipment was working fine. My husband is an engineer and experienced RVr. No maintenance personnel on site and the front desk person insisted on seeing it for herself. She was friendly at check in, but snapped into hysterical mode in an instant. She drove off in her golf cart like a crazy person because her hands got slightly wet. We were polite the entire time. We were the ones inconvenienced. I missed precious time with my mom because we had to pack up and move sites. There was never an apology on her part. We understand the water problem was out of her control, but her reaction is totally on her. She just kept demanding we move sites like we were toddlers. Outrageous and we won’t be back.

  The Hitchin' Post is a top quality RV park. It was very quiet and the facilities were excellent. The restrooms were very clean and the shower facilities had great water pressure and plenty of space. Dumping and refilling was painless and easy. The staff were very personable. If you need an RV park in the LV area, this is your spot.

  My husband and I were on our way to Tombstone AZ from our home in Eugene OR when our truck started giving us issues. We limped our way into Vegas and being Good Sam members we chose The Hitchin Post out of our Good Sam book. Let me tell you the staff at the RV park both day and night crews were amazing! All staff was very understanding about our situation and helped us out tremendously. They went above and beyond their normal everyday jobs to make my husband and I feel less stressed. We ended up being stuck in Vegas for almost 3 weeks and stayed at The Hitchin Post for 90% of our time. The RV park is amazing it has an amazing pool, awesome hot/clean showers and restrooms, there's 2 on site dog runs and even a warm water dog wash which helped us keep our 2 Heelers happy also for dog people and people with kids there's a really nice park right across the main road, the have an on site laundry facility with plenty of washers and dryers, plus the park has full hookups with cable,water, sewer and even wifi, another things that my husband and I loved is the RV park is gated and you have to have a key card or garage door opener to even get in. We felt very secure here because of that, There's a few stores with in walking distance, also there's an air force base about 2 miles away from the RV park so all day long during the week you get a pretty awesome show of the fighter planes flying over the park while practicing.. We will definitely stay at the Hitchin Post again if we ever come back through.

  Everything there is Wonderful with the exception of the Restaurant not being open. I was made privy to the reason behind it. This type of situation ALWAYS boils down to bad management. The GM should not have allowed it to go on for so long! With the right Management and trained Bartenders it would most certainly would make a Hugh attraction for The Hitching Post RV Park! I would also suggest getting rid of the State Gaming Machines. You don't need them since small casinos are within walking distance. All comments above are just my personal opinions. Best of luck to all of you, sincerely. A 3 day 2 night guest
