Hotel is fine, had some issues in the beginning about some rooms not being as they advertised. Once changed come the rooms have their own issues. When me and my friend were staying in smelt pretty bad. The other my friend's parents were in had a bad mattress. We finally got rooms with good quality but, me and my friends are on the 11th floor, while her parents were on the 8th floor even though we wanted to be on the same floor. Everything was fine, until we checked out. I accidentally left a water bottle in the fridge. It was a metal one did I particularly liked sentimentaly. Every time we were transferred to lost and found, they would not pick up. When we tried calling front desk the first time they interrupted the call and were very rude. Then my friend called the second time to the front desk, they were very rude to her as well but she asked for the manager. The manager was named Nicole I believe, she was very nice and understanding. We managed to get the Lost item fairly quickly. The hotel staff was a mess, the only ones that I particularly liked where the security and manager, Nicole.

This was one of the worst experiences I've had at a hotel; especially one out of state and that I've spent thousands of dollars planning. I went to talk to management 8 times.! I had to switch rooms 3 times. Management was somewhat helpful but didn't recognize any problems until the end. I talked with 4 members of management over the same, reoccurring issues. Hidden fees were a huge downside. Our fridge never worked hence multiple room changes. The sliding bathroom doors on our room "upgrade" didn't close. They said since I booked the stay through Expedia, I wasn't 'guarenteed' a couch which is where I slept The shower was iffy on going on and off. The freezer in the fridge kept melting. I broke my knee this year and the ONLY thing besides a couch that I didn't have in the room that I paid for with a couch... was a working freezer. This way, I could get my ice packs cold and not use the hotel ice machine multiple times a day. That's what I had to do anyways since it never got replaced or fixed for longer than a 1 hour period. It was my friends first time being to Vegas with me and it was just an unacceptable and pathetic experience. Especially since we had to go to management 8 times. Instead of getting a couple of hundred knocked off from the "room upgrade fees", we honestly should have received a full free stay due to the hassle and inconveniences we dealt with. It felt like we spent more time at the front desk than in our room which is SAD!!! I will not be coming back here. If I could give the staff negative numbers I would along with the room.
I was initially hesitant to book due to high anxiety regarding cleanliness/bugs as this is just a general anxiety for me…
And I’m glad to report that Golden Nugget exceeded my expectations!
We stayed Tuesday, checking out Saturday morning. Checked in early with JP, who was friendly, and accommodated us in a room away from Fremont Street, which I had meant to ask for and forgot so I appreciate his initiative on that. Vicente was friendly and talkative as he checked our bags and upon pick up.
We stayed in the Rush Tower, 11th floor. Throughout our visit, I noticed a standard of
cleanliness and felt like I was always running into an employee cleaning, the carpets, the mirrors, etc. this gave me tremendous peace of mind. I did notice a strong smell on our floor, guest on different floors said they smelled something too, thankfully it didn’t really linger into the room aside from a brief moment. I did reach out via the text line about the smell and didn’t get a response. After a day the smell reminded me of carpet just replaced, it was probably nothing.
Our room was clean, the bathtub clean enough that I took 3 baths while there! The bed and pillows very comfortable. I felt very comfortable in our hotel room, which when you have high anxiety about cleanliness and bugs, this peace of mind was incredible. Especially when I ended up staying in the room all day, a couple of days.
On Friday night they held a night swim, and that music we could hear, it was LOUD, but it did end at 10pm when the pool closed. Which was a huge relief. Other than that our room was quiet aside from minor noises from the plumbing.
Friday night 5 different police interactions were witnessed, a drunk almost naked man, laid out in a casino entrance and then just other seemingly minor disturbances, but the point is, they were being quickly addressed by PD.
Housekeeping was very friendly and prompt with requests. And one day we arrived back to see the bed made and trash emptied which surprised me because when reading reviews it didn’t seem that they cleaned unless requested. So a nice unexpected surprise.
I’m so thankful I made the trip to see first hand that this location has it together, offering clean, comfortable, rooms and friendly service.
Aside from the smell concern not being addressed, I do want to give a shout out to the text team, that responds quickly and gets you prompt service/answers 99% of the time. You also made our stay more convenient and easy.
I would return.

We stayed at your hotel for a total of three nights, and overall, we truly enjoy coming to Vegas and staying at your property\. We had a cabana during our stay and also enjoyed massages, and we have always appreciated the amenities and experiences your hotel offers.
Unfortunately, there were several customer service issues during this stay that were extremely disappointing.
Housekeeping was never an issue during the first part of our stay. However, on Saturday, we had to call and request housekeeping. We called a second time around 5:15–5:20 PM and were told that there was a rotation meeting and that someone would come right up. I specifically explained that I needed a towel, that our room had not been cleaned, and asked if housekeeping was still able to service the room. I was assured that it was.
Approximately 30 minutes later, I received a large clear plastic bag containing a roll of toilet paper and some towels\. Nobody came to clean the room. We left for the evening and returned around 11:30 PM, only to find that the room still had not been serviced. I was honestly shocked and appalled. We had specifically called and were told that someone would come to the room, so I found it very disappointing that this was not followed through.
We also experienced an issue with parking. I completely understand that parking is first come, first served, and one evening there were no available spots, so we ended up using valet parking. The valet attendant told us that if we spoke with management, they might be willing to comp the valet because it was an exceptionally busy weekend. I called the following morning to discuss it, and although I ultimately appreciated that the valet charge was comped, the way I was treated during that conversation was extremely disappointing. I felt as though I was being treated as if I had made up the situation or was not being truthful about what the valet attendant had told me. There was no reason for me to be treated that way when I was simply explaining what had happened.
Unfortunately, this same type of customer service was also an issue in another area of the hotel\. Our room was 1168, and every time we came down from the elevators near Chick\-fil\-A, there were people making their sales pitches. I completely understand that this is part of the environment, and I appreciate that people are doing their jobs. However, on Saturday, there was a young gentleman who did not seem to understand personal space. His gestures and approach were overly pushy, and I did not appreciate the way he interacted with us.
We genuinely love coming to Vegas, and we enjoyed many parts of our stay. We had a cabana, enjoyed massages, and have had many positive experiences at your hotel in the past. That is why it was especially disappointing to encounter what I felt was some of the most unprofessional customer service we have experienced from staff in several different areas during this stay.
I am sharing this feedback because we enjoy your property and would like to continue coming back. I hope management will take these concerns seriously, particularly the lack of follow-through with housekeeping representative and the way guests are treated when they bring legitimate concerns to staff. The hotel itself has so much to offer, but the customer service we experienced during this visit unfortunately took away from what should have been an enjoyable three night stay. I did try to send this through Another avenue that was sent to my phone that asked for feedback, but when I opened it, nothing was there.
We had a great experience at Golden Nugget last year, so we decided to return this year with our toddler son. Unfortunately, this visit was very different from our previous experience.
We had problems right from the check-in process. There was only one staff member assisting guests at the kiosks, and she appeared to be busy on her tablet while several of us were waiting for assistance.
The biggest disappointment was the pool. When we arrived, we noticed the Tank was closed. We were never informed about this before our stay, and we did not see any warning about the closure on the property nor on the hotel's website. Latet, we were informed by one of the life guard that the Tank would be under maintenance for rest of year. Our son was extremely disappointed because he had such a great time at the pool during our stay last year. The pool experience was one of the main reasons we chose to return to Golden Nugget.
After returning to our room, we discovered that the shower had extremely low water pressure, and there were black stains on the bathtub. Our room also faced Fremont Street, which made it very difficult for our toddler to sleep because of the noise.
Because of all these issues, we requested a room change. We were told the hotel was fully booked and that the only way to change rooms would be to downgrade our room. We decided to stay in the room and try to make the best of the situation.
Unfortunately, that night was extremely difficult. We had loud music coming from Fremont Street as well as noise from a party room next door. The noise continued until after 3:00 AM, making it very difficult for our toddler and our family to sleep.
We chose Golden Nugget again because we had such a positive experience last year. This time, however, the lack of communication about the pool closure, the condition of the room, and the excessive noise made our stay very disappointing. We hope the hotel takes these issues seriously, especially when families are choosing to return based on a previous positive experience.
