Had to change rooms after the first night because of the noise from Fremont Street Experience. Loud music blared until 3am. If you like cigarette smoke, this place is for you. I can't believe this casino caters to the minority of smokers making non-smokers suffer. I feel sorry for the dealers and hotel employees who have to tolerate this craziness.

Our stay at Golden Nugget Las Vegas was a mix of great customer service and a very disappointing experience. The overnight check-in attendant was extremely friendly and welcoming, and our room was clean, comfortable, and offered a great rate. The pool staff—including the entry attendant, cabana rental rep, and hostess—were all helpful, professional, and very customer-service oriented. Unfortunately, the main reason we booked this hotel was for the Shark Tank pool and slide, only to find out after arriving that both were out of service. This was never made clear during the booking process. I booked directly through an email link that took me straight to the calendar selection page, so I had no indication the main attraction would be unavailable. After spending $325 on a pool cabana/food/drinks, I spoke with the front desk hoping for understanding, but both the desk staff and manager were rude and repeatedly insisted the issue was my fault because it was “on the website.” I was offered a $50 food and beverage credit, which felt inadequate for a family of four, especially when they refused to refund even $50 from the pool charges. At that point, I chose not to spend another dime there. The lack of accountability and dismissive attitude left a very negative impression and honestly felt a bit misleading.

We stayed at the resort for 3 nights. Over memorial weekend. The moment we arrived the parking situation was a nightmare! We ended up parking at a nearby parking lot while we checked in. After checking in we were told to park at the valet since their lot was full. As soon as we pulled up to the valet area one of the employees yelled out that they were full. We mentioned that we were told to park there and he immediately raised his voice at us and said that it wasn’t his problem. He later came back and said that he would park our vehicle but that we would have to wait over 30 mins. (Very moody tone) We were in no hurry and if it meant parking closer since we had our kids we had no issue waiting. We were never rude, disrespectful or out of place with this gentlemen. While waiting to have our vehicle parked another valet employee approached us and mentioned that the resort had only scheduled two guys to work for that night . First thing, that is unfortunate and irresponsible for the resort to that knowing that large crowds were expected that weekend. Secondly, we understand the situation and know that not every guest is cooperative. However, that is no reason to let it out on guests. We never went back to valet during our stay. Luckily the resort figured it out and opened up another lot a few blocks away. Overall our stay was good. Rooms were clean. Seems like the main issue was staff shortage. Not enough staff in the important/ main locations. Front desk only had one employee. And not everyone knows about the kiosks to check in and out. Would be great if we received an email to know our options before arriving. Please do better. Plan accordingly. Especially when large crowds are expected.

One of the worst experiences that I've ever had I've been to large casino hotels in Vegas for almost 40 years to give an example we checked in with no one to assist there was just for tablets and you just check in on your own no one's there to assist you thus there is no one to assist you if you have any other questions regarding your room and upgrade a change of room a change of bed there's no one to actually talk to so if you are not computer savvy you won't be able to take advantage of that they no longer use trash bags in their trash cans inside of the room they use a clear plastic sleeve that now they don't have to pay for recycled trash bags they do not provide ink pens notepads inside of the room there is only one set of outlets that work on one side of the bed so if you have a king or a double bed all of the charging will be done on one side of the room with that one Outlet there's no longer a late check-out if you are 15 minutes late checking out you will be charged $15 per hour all of my dirty laundry got soaking wet because there was a leak in the tub next to my bed and all of my clothes got ruined now I can understand that that is not an issue that would somehow be unique to the Golden Nugget but it is also what they did to accommodate Me by replacing or refunding me one of my Resort fees and just for only one day of those Resort fees so I got 8 socks a leather belt and a brand new shirt all ruined. This place is just a sample of the economic downgrade on service and hospitality. All staff were nice, friendly and knowledgeable.

I stayed in Gold Tower room 1206. The room view was OK. Hotel service was great- We arrived a little early and when the computer system said our room wasn't ready yet, a person used their computer to find us a room that was ready immediately. That was very helpful. All the Staff we interacted with were perfectly kind, helpful and professional. My big problem with the room was the opaque bathroom door. This is an insane choice. Look at my pictures of how the bathroom light illuminates the entire bedroom by itself. If you have to use the bathroom at night you will wake up your partner, that is how bright it is. There's no soft light in the bathroom. It's all or nothing. I ranked the location of the GN as 4/5 because it depends on what you're doing. On previous trips I stayed on the strip and visited locations on the strip. This time I went mostly off-strip for entertainment and food. There are plenty of eating and entertainment options within a walk or short ride of the GN. I highly recommend walking to the Broken Yolk for breakfast. While you could walk to the Vegas Premium Outlets, it's worth the ride and it's a much more leisurely and clean shopping experience than on-strip. GN was very good as an off-strip option. I don't think the pool was sanitary. I am from a resort town, I've worked in resorts and I've traveled quite a bit. I know when pool water doesn't smell quite right. My wife shaved her legs then went into the pool. Then she developed an infection on her leg. We cannot think of any other vectors of the infection. When she was in the pool, I went over to test the water with my feet but I didn't like the way it smelled so I didn't go in. Take what I'm saying with a grain of salt as I cannot prove anything, but that's my opinion.
