They do a good job explaining the benefits of the membership without being overly pushy, and it's worth considering for the discounts and access to the garage sales. My only real complaint is that it feels like the store has shifted more toward clothing than outdoor gear over the years. I'd love to see more space dedicated to camping, hiking, and other equipment. That said, the customer service is excellent, and REI's return policy is one of the best around. Overall, it's still a great place to shop for outdoor enthusiasts.

Was going to purchase an almost $500 pair of hiking boots which was taken from me while I continued to shop never knowing that the employee did not put them behind the paying area. When I went to pay, my shoes were not there . A few employees began looking for them but they were never found. They tried to sell me a bigger size which was weird since I had already tried on the correct size. Just don't think they did their job and were not concerned that they didn't make the sale. On Top of that , they sell a few smokey the bear items but yet we're not accommodating to a first responder. Upset to say the least because how are you going to lose a pair of boots?
