  The place was almost empty of customers, one of those days where the employees outnumbered those entering the store. One customer told an employee that they were being churlish. I agreed I was within hearing distance; I wear hearing aids, and I am basically deaf in one year. My wife was purchasing an item that retailed at $157.00 with her points she got it down, for her it was great. I find the place snobbish and overpriced, maybe on the level elitist. At times through the years I looked specifically for items at REI, most often not finding an item. I always thank the existence of Amazon.

  I went to a local shop and while they were incredibly friendly, they did not have what I needed so I came here to grab some shoes while on vacation. I waited and waited and was never assisted in the shoe area as I needed assistance. I picked a pair of shoes without assistance (there were two associated helping people but they kept skipping me and helping others who showed up after me). I went to the register and the girl at the register was short, and rude. If I didn't absolutely need something for my feet I would have not bought the shoes I found here and would have waited but unfortunately I was stuck shopping here. Worst REI experience ever.

  Got a sick pair of Smokey Bear glasses there and the staff was so friendly and helpful!! Also really dug the train across the street. Thanks guys!

  Salesperson was nice and helpful, particularly Doug who was proving service in the bicycle dept. Woukd highly recommend.
