  Just a heads up be careful using the penn play app. If you make a mistake booking a room they don’t take ownership. I accidentally booked a room on a day that was already over and their app let me pay for it. When I got to the casino they said your were a no call no show. We were not a no call no show they canceled the reservation and made us another reservation. They charged us for both nights even though we only stayed one night. Spoke to the manager she said to bad you made the mistake even though their app let me make the mistake. Our experience at the front desk was not good. When we got their there was a baby rattle snake in the door we had to go to another door to get it. Then they gave us a dirty room and then we had to go back to the front desk to get another room. Both ladies were both confused on which rooms were clean are dirty that took about 10 minutes for them to figure it out. I will not stay there again. The app needs to be fixed so other people don’t get screwed out of thier money

  They charged me for a room that was supposed to be comped and when I called to get a refund the hotel manager refused and was VERY rude. She also hung up on me. I was not rude to her so I don't understand why she was so rude.

  We did not stay in the hotel. But I think it is important that people know that they allow people to smoke Marijuana in there we had to leave because the smell got really bad. We started to get sick from the horrible smell. The restaurant well we decided not to stay and eat because it was full of drunk people, some being very inappropriate. Maybe they should give them a free room so they can get sober or do thier necessities in a room instead of the restaurant. We traveled to go have a good time and ended up having to come home. You are contributing to unsafe drivers on the road that are highly impaired coming from your establishment.

  We recently stayed at Zia Park Hotel. Check-in was fairly easy, and our room was nice enough, but there were several things that made the stay disappointing. When we first walked into the lobby, there was a strong smell of sewage/poop. They had fans running, so apparently there was some kind of issue, but it certainly wasn’t a pleasant first impression. The biggest problem for us was the noise. Our room was on the bottom floor, and the ice machine nearby was extremely loud every time someone used it. But even worse was the AC unit. Every time it kicked on, it sounded like a small engine starting up. It would run loudly, then gradually wind down when it shut off. This happened about every 30 minutes throughout the night, and it repeatedly woke us up. The AC unit definitely needs some attention. The bed also needs an update. It was an old-fashioned spring mattress that was very uncomfortable. The pillows were extremely fluffy, which might be great for some people, but they were way too fluffy for us. The continental breakfast was just so-so, and we ended up going to Starbucks for coffee. Another issue is the $15 resort fee. If you’re going to charge a resort fee, there should be actual resort amenities to go along with it. There isn’t even a pool at this hotel. This is essentially a hotel attached to a casino, so calling it a resort fee feels misleading. We would much rather see that $15 simply included in the advertised room price. That said, we had a blast in the casino! Every single casino employee we met was incredibly nice, friendly, and helpful. We honestly have not one complaint about the casino or its employees, and the temperature in the casino was great for us. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t stay at the hotel again. We would definitely return to Zia Park for the casino, but next time we’ll make it a day trip rather than an overnight stay.

  Not at all impressed. As a personal that travels 3-4 days a week and stays in hotels all the time. I though this might be a nice change of pace when taking the family with me for a concert. Yeah, I should have stayed at the Holiday Inn. Tried to check in at 3:30ish and was told we had to waite until 3:45pm unless we pay a $10 early check in fee. We called in advance of the concert to ask if location was wheelchair accessible and was told yes it is. Well, we found out it is not at all wheelchair friendly venue. The area the concert was in was all dirt and sand. If i hadn't been with my daughter to push her in the chair she would not have been able to navigate to the concert. The entire building hotel and casino smelled like smoke, even the "non-smoking" room smelled like smoke. The TV was horrible. As far as the free continental breakfast? I have better choices of food at a school cafeteria. Juces was watered down. No hot food. Watched the milk jug being set down on the counter and left there for a long time. For a casino/hotel this was a very disappointing experience. The concert Skillet concert was awesome. But other than that I wont be back.
