My review is specifically for the hotel and concert amenities. I did not visit the casino! I booked a king suite months in advance of the concert. $240. I arrived at 11 am for a concert at 8 pm. Parking was free, easy, and close by. I went inside to verify my reservation knowing I couldn't check in yet. I wish I had the name of the front desk attendant that helped me. She was older than me with a grey bob, glasses, and pretty smile. She was so great at her job! I paid $20 for early check in and she let me know that would be at noon. I told her I wasn't in a rush but had questions about the concert. I wanted to post those answers here as I had a hard time finding information about attending a concert at this venue prior to the show. She told me I could come back to check in at 12:30. I asked her if I could line up this early, she said yes, and pointed me to southeastern side of the building, a sliding chain link gate directly across from an outside hotel door. I posted up with my umbrella and sunscreen as it's 100% sun. I went to check in at 1:30 to give them plenty of time to get a room ready. She hooked me up with a room that was directly across from the stage. I thought that was so sweet of her, but that it didn't matter because I'd be in the crowd at the concert anyway. Am I glad she gave me that room, I got to watch Jesse McCartney sound check while I got ready! It was also close to the elevator and the southeastern door that faces the concert gates. If you're staying at the hotel specifically for a concert, you can park, have a room, and wait in line all on the southwestern side. I checked into a clean, spacious room with an air conditioner that worked perfectly, hot shower with fantastic water pressure, literally have zero complaints about the room. The barricade was close to the stage. Sound and lights were great. The security team the venue contracts, Espes, were great. The concert was delayed an hour due to rain and lightning and security kept us in the loop and never complained about the rain. My only complaint is minute but may be useful for future customers: the breakfast bar has zero meat proteins. Closest you'll get is cottage cheese, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs. There's fresh fruit and coffee and a ton of carbs like toast, bagels, muffins, turnovers, French toast, and frozen waffles. Also grabbed a quesadilla from the Drylands restaurant. It was okay! The coke zero was $3 for like 24 ounces with no lid and the guacamole had too much cumin to be edible, I'd just order something else next time. I would absolutely return and would recommend this venue to friends!

From the moment we checked into the hotel, I had concerns about our stay. Our scheduled check-in time was 4:00 p.m., and we arrived around 4:30 p.m. We were informed that our room was still being cleaned and was not yet available. The front desk asked us to check back in ten minutes. Wanting to give the staff extra time, I waited until 5:00 p.m. before returning to the desk. At that point, I was told the room was still unavailable. My friend who was staying with me asked whether any compensation would be offered since our check-in was now over an hour late. We were told that resort amenities could be removed from our bill, and almost immediately afterward, we were informed that a room had suddenly become available. The room itself was nice and had a view of the racetrack and the stage that had been set up for the Jesse McCartney concert. Because of the weather, we initially planned to stay in our room and watch the concert from there. We had the window closed, yet security repeatedly waved up at us, signaling for us to stop watching, even though nothing had started yet. This was confusing and unnecessary. Later, when the rain had stopped, we opened the window to listen to the music playing before the concert. At that point, it was no longer raining. Suddenly, someone began pounding loudly on our door. When I answered, I was met by a man who never identified himself. He appeared visibly upset, soaked from the previous rain, and out of breath. The only indication that he worked for the property was his shirt. He asked if our window was open. I replied that it was and mentioned that we had purchased tickets for the concert. He simply shook his head and responded, "Ummm, no. Absolutely not. No." He only stated that having the window open could cause water damage that I would be responsible for paying. However, it was no longer raining, and there was no water entering the room. If it had been raining into the room, we obviously would not have left the window open. As he turned to leave, I asked whether we were allowed to watch from our room with the window closed. He replied that we could, then walked away without any further explanation or professionalism. He was flustered and this was not handled well. In the end, we closed the window and decided to attend the concert in person instead where it started to rain pretty bad again. While we were there, we noticed that numerous other guests had their windows open and were watching from their rooms without being approached or confronted by staff. That inconsistency made the interaction even more frustrating. To make matters worse, after the concert was over, we went to the casino, where more than half of the slot machines were either out of service or experiencing technical issues. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. Between the delayed check-in, the unprofessional interaction with staff, the inconsistent enforcement of hotel policies, and the issues throughout the casino, our stay fell far below expectations.

They recently had a power outage some machines were down for over 4 hrs and had to wait for over 3 hrs or son Couldn't cash out at the machine I was at had tickets and couldn't cash them out at the ATM/Ticket cash out machine, couldn't even cash em out at cash services so I bit the bullet and gave the money I had in the machine to someone, 17.45 cents cause it was about 9:30 when I left and it was about 7:30 or so when the power went out. Didn't even offer anything for the hours upon hours ppl had to wait...Being a casino they should've been prepared for this ive been to many casinos where this has happened and 45 mins to an hour wait time and voucher for food, free play, and a great discount on a room...

Drive from out of town, waited over two hours cuz the power went out, then they said they were waiting on the state to give the “OK” to let people In to gamble yet people were still In there gambling. You’d think this place would have a better plan in place. Won’t be back.

Although we had a much better experience this time as far as the concerns Inside the casino, (it was much cooler than previous times and actually saw so many winning machines), the staff at the front desk lacked social skills and was rude. When asked for another hair dryer, more toilet paper and towels because we stayed another night, they looked bothered at the request. The staff at the window inside casino also was lacking and had trouble getting our info together to get a membership started and kept getting annoyed that she couldn't get it. Seemed more worried that a vip customer had come up and asked us to let her wait on him first even though we had got to the window before he even walked up.
