And the table we wanted to sit at was dirty when the waiter came she literally just wiped the center of the table once she pretended to clean it and then took our orders.

- CMCavan MorleyAug 6, 20261.0I have been to this location on several occasions. In fact, this is where my wife and I met each other for the first time. That being said, I would not recommend Lucky Strike to anyone. Almost every aspect of this location is mediocre, overpriced, dirty, or all three. For the bowling, almost every Bowlero/Lucky Strike location uses a dynamic pricing model, meaning that you will be paying exorbitant prices to bowl unless you go at the most awkward hours. As it currently stands, reserving a lane for two-hours for four people will cost you over $210 dollars on a weekend, which is absolutely ridiculous for the quality of the experience. While bowling, you can expect music to be blasting, lights to be flashing, and the televisions to be reflecting off the lanes, making it impossible to see the lane guides/arrows. All of this sensory overload also makes it difficult to socialize with your group while you bowl, and you end up having to shout over the noise. The bowling pins in the lanes are also attached by strings, which will completely ruin the experience if you've ever bowled without them before. You'll also find that the bowling area is filthy. You can expect to find dust all over the lanes, couches, tables, and even the rented bowling shoes. I took a picture of the shoes I was handed last time I bowled, and they looked like they had never been cleaned in their lifetime. I am sure the lack of cleanliness extends to the entire facility, but it is definitely more noticeable in the bowling alley, maybe due to the lack of carpeting. When it comes to the other amenities, don't expect much in the way of improvement. The arcade is extremely expensive, and games seem to be broken more often than not. Dave & Busters, and even Chuck E Cheese's, will provide a much better, and cheaper, arcade experience for you and your children. Even the prize booth is disappointing in comparison to every other arcade you might come across. Lastly, the restaurant is incredibly mediocre. We had better service at the bowling alley than we ever did sitting down in the restaurant or bar area. Servers were often nowhere to be found, the tables were dirty and unwashed, and food would take ages to arrive, even on an empty day. The bar itself seems to have frequent problems, with their taps being completely non-functional on two separate occasions that I have been there. The food and drinks are also very overpriced and mediocre. Assembly Row has far better and more affordable entertainment options, and if you don't mind going further out of your way, I would recommend any other bowling alley over Lucky Strike. You will have a vastly better experience and do less damage to your wallet at Dave & Busters or any local, independent bowling alley.

There’s truly something for everyone here including, bowling, pool, Skee-Ball, shuffleboard, arcade and video games, plus multiple bar areas and a huge food and drink menu. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, making it a great place for families, friends, date nights, birthday parties, or just a fun night out in Somerville. What really made our visit special, though, was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great experience. If you’re looking for bowling, arcade games, food, drinks, and entertainment all under one roof, then Lucky Strike Somerville at Assembly Row is definitely worth checking out.
