  My son has been attending Sensei Bill’s studio for about half a year. He has so much fun learning karate, the different moves and techniques. On top of that, he gets to practice discipline and persistence which are emphasized at each and every class. Overall, we love this karate studio and highly recommend to other parents.

  My son has been attending this martial arts center for nearly a year and a half, and the transformation has been remarkable. I originally enrolled him because I wanted to reinforce structure and discipline outside of our home, and the results have exceeded my expectations. Even at five years old, he has evolved from being easily distracted in group settings to truly understanding the importance of order. While he is still growing, the Senseis and Senpais work tirelessly to guide him. What sets this program apart is that it goes far beyond physical technique; I deeply appreciate the focus on "mental education." By implementing "powerful words" and core values each month, the program helps him internalize complex concepts that might otherwise be difficult for a child his age to grasp. It is also inspiring to see the older students participating as assistant teachers. Their leadership is a testament to the discipline and values this school instills over time. A huge shoutout to Senpai Sofia and Sensei Bill. They maintain excellent control of the classroom with a perfect balance of passion and structure. They are firm with discipline yet remain playful and kind, masterfully adapting their teaching style to suit each class level. I highly recommend this center to any parent looking for a holistic approach to their child's development.

  We’ve been sending our son to North Shore Martial Arts for about six months now. We were very happy at the beginning, and our satisfaction has only grown as we’ve seen meaningful changes in our son both on and off the mat. The owner and head instructor, Bill, is fantastic. He does an excellent job of balancing kindness with discipline, all in a way that’s appropriate for the kids’ ages. Our son has gained both confidence and skill in his karate, and the step-by-step approach to learning has even carried over into his schoolwork and other areas of life. We often reference karate when our son is struggling with something new, reminding him how his hard work has paid off in class—and how that same effort can translate to anything he takes on. One of the things we love most about North Shore Martial Arts is their emphasis on character and conduct. Each month, a “word of the month” is introduced, and the senseis take time during every class to discuss its meaning and how it applies to everyday life. The kids actively engage in these conversations and learn from one another, which is wonderful to see. Overall, it has been a truly great experience, and we would highly recommend North Shore Martial Arts to anyone.

  My name is Christian DiBona and currently I am 16 years old. I first went to this Martial arts school when I was very young (around 6 or so) and I practiced here for 9 years and eventually made it up to a green belt. This martial arts school is one of the best ones I’ve ever been to. Sensi Bill was the nicest guy ever and from time to time I like to check back on the website and I see all of my old classmates as instructors now, it’s really amazing to see how far everyone has come. I will say this, this karate school has taught me life lessons I still use today and I still practice this kemp style of martial arts on my own. I would finally like to say this to any parents looking to enroll your child, please sign them up! This was one of the best karate experiences I’ve ever had and your child will never forget the memories they will make at this school and for the instructors new and old id like to say thank you for making my experiences great all of those years ago and a special thanks to Bill Craig to taught me things I could of never learned in a classroom. Thank you for everything Northshore martial arts team!
