I had a great experience, the staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and patient with my questions. I felt like they were honest with me about options without pressure to upsell. My bike rides so great after getting it serviced, highly recommend!

I purchased an FX Sport AL3 ($1200) for my girlfriend and returned it to this store. I’ve always been a Trek fan. My grandmother grew up in Waterloo, WI and I own a Checkpoint ALR4. However, due to my experience with Eric at this store I will never purchase another Trek product. The bike was making a shaking and rattling sound during slow and smooth pedaling, essentially any time riding at low speeds and not accelerating. More importantly, the pedals felt loose and jittery while this was happening. No bike that I’ve ever ridden has had that unstable feeling. When my girlfriend brought this in, Eric blamed it on her “uneven pedal stroke”. When I went back in he said the same thing to me, so I showed him that you could replicate the issue by lifting the rear wheel and slowly and smoothly pedaling. At this point his explanation switched to “it’s just a noisy drivetrain”, and when pushed I pushed him on the contradiction, it became “a little bit of both”. There was no effort to actually acknowledge or diagnose the issue other than blaming the rider. My problem is that either the bike was defective, or a $1200 bike really feels like it’s going to fall apart when ridden. If it's the latter, the honest answer is to acknowledge the quality problem, not blame the rider. Being told the problem was us, twice, and then watching the explanation shift each time it was challenged, is why I returned the bike and why I'm done with Trek. I'm posting this not just for prospective customers, but because if I was the manager I would want to know about experiences like this.

Sometimes we miss the opportunity to tell people how much they are appreciated. Today, I want to give a special shoutout to the team at Trek Bicycle in Cambridge, Massachusetts—especially Eric and the entire staff. Every time I walk through their doors, I’m met with kindness, patience, professionalism, and genuine care. They consistently go above and beyond to help, making every experience a positive one. It’s rare to find a team that not only provides great service but also makes people feel valued and welcomed. Their commitment to the Cambridge community does not go unnoticed, and I am truly grateful for all they do. friendly, experienced staff & fast turn-around for simple fixes. reasonable prices & they stand by their work-- I had a bit of clunkiness when shifting gears about a month after a tune-up, brought it back in, and they fixed it in 10 minutes at no charge.
