  The check out guy with mustache was so rude to us. He throw our stuff on the table and completely ignored us during the check out. Worst service ever

  Always an REI fan, very helpful employees. Helped me order a shirt that was soon to be out of stock permanently. Also was honest about me when I was going to buy climbing shoes that were better than what I was capable of. I really appreciated that.

  I love this store. It could use more staff, but they give great advice, which is super important when buying a tent, a stove, climbing equipment, or other complex gear. Being able to touch and try is essential with so many other items as well. The bike maintenance service is skilled and fairly priced. Its location is amazingly convenient to transit, biking, walking, and driving—great for us urbanites. But now it’s closing, so here ends a great relationship—almost 50 years of membership, thousands of dollars of spending per year, and much happiness. Good luck, REI, with distinguishing yourself from Cabella’s or Bass Pro Shop from here on out.

  I would concur with most of the comments on here regarding customer service - felt slightly hostile trying to make a return. Refused to accept return based on ‘store discretion’ but never actually looked at the issue. Clearly very happy to push membership with 100% satisfaction guaranteed but not willing to honour that - had to go to REI customer service and mail item back for refund Genuinely strange and uncomfortable experience using this REI store

  This store is a hot mess. 3-4 staff standing at checkout with no one in line. One person on the floor when you enter looking at his phone not greeting anyone and not helping. One person on the floor assisting two other customers. It was impossible to get help finding an item I needed. When I went to pay, the person checking me out had incredibly bad body odor. This isn’t ok when working with the public. Overall just a terrible shopping experience.
