- WSWill SchefflerJul 13, 20265.0Changing 40 years of bad golf habits formed without ever having any formal instruction isn't easy. It takes commitment and an understanding that you may go backwards before you go forward. That's been my experience with my coach, Ryan Hicks. I made a decision to get better, and that requires change. Ryan has been patient and he finds ways to get his point across that make sense to me. I prefer 1 hr lessons, as I think we really get to work on those faults that need to be corrected. The new swing style was uncomfortable at first, but 4 months later, it feels normal again. My play is more consistent and my scores are starting to drop.

He was incredibly patient and engaging with my 9-year-old, who had very little golf experience, and made the lesson both fun and confidence-building. He has a wonderful ability to connect with kids and teach the fundamentals in a way that's easy to understand. My daughter left excited to keep playing, and we highly recommend Coach Robert to anyone looking to improve their game!

I really like the GOLFTEC business model of recording your swing and providing a complete play-by-play breakdown of every aspect of your golf swing. Being able to see exactly what is happening and receive immediate feedback makes the instruction process much more effective. Ryan did a great job explaining the data and providing actionable items to work on between visits. The technology and analysis tools are outstanding and give you a clear understanding of where improvements can be made. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I will definitely be back when I am in the area again in about 45 days. Hopefully, we will make enough progress by then to start looking at an iron fitting as the next step. Highly recommended for anyone serious about improving their golf game.

The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.

Our TECFIT club fitting system provides a precision, agnostic fitting experience. All GOLFTEC Certified Fitters use our advanced launch monitor technology to measure your unique launch conditions.
