  If you are looking to experience the Middle Fork of the Salmon River the way it was meant to be seen, look no further than Idaho Wilderness Company. I have had the wonderful fortune of two multi-day corporate team trip with IWC, and "life-changing" does not even begin to cover the journey. From the very beginning, the wonderful IWC team - Steve, Jess, Steven, Joel and their crew demonstrated the kind of elite operational execution and attention to detail that you rarely see in the backcountry. The pre-trip orientation was informative and perfectly set the stage for what was to come. On the water, the guide staff was incredibly competent, professional and managed the river and camp logistics with absolute precision. They rotate duties flawlessly, and their focus on safety, local knowledge and storytelling is top-tier. The food was fantastic, the gear was top-notch, and the “strongly encouraged” break from our phones allowed our entire group to completely unplug, reset and genuinely connect with the wilderness. Idaho Wilderness Company does not just offer a rafting trip - they deliver a premium, unforgettable expedition. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

  EPIC! There are not enough adjectives to describe the trip I just experienced. Idaho Wilderness Company staff and guides are top level when it comes to escorting you through the Middle Fork on a river trip. The food, the incredible service by the guides, the scenery and mini excursions make this a bucket list item. Stephen, Tanner, Rowan, Rob, Ruele, Brooks and Joel made this a most memorable trip for me along with the other guests. Steve and Jess make it so easy to make this trip happen. You don’t know what you are missing until you see the Middle Fork on a river trip with IWC.

  My family and I have used Idaho wilderness company for many years for both hunting trips and float trips. In my opinion no one knows and respects the Idaho backcountry more than Steve and his crew.

  First-rate experience! Steve Zettel and his hand-picked team of guides are masters of opening the magic of this wilderness to all regardless of experience. Not only do they provide a peak experience, they do it in a way that is both natural, and seemingly effortless, the kind of experience that only client-focused masters can regularly provide. As beautiful as the Middle Fork of the Salmon River is, all housed in the Frank Church River of No Return Widerness, one leaves not only with a true appreciation of this unique land, but also with fond memories of Steve and his guides. The process of sharing their wilderness with us left us amazed with the country and feeling like family. We will be doing this again!
