  Huge Shout out to the 5 Star Employees who work here!!! This was my very 1st time coming to REI, i thought it was just a place that that people who liked to camp went to, Well I was sooo wrong!!! A friend suggested that I come here for she insoles as I am suffering from Planter Fasciitis. I met a very nice young man named Hilario. He measured my foot on the same object I had seen for years growing up as a kid, you know the metal thing that tell you what size shoe you need, but he was using parts that I didn’t even know it had…. He wrote down some calculations on a piece of paper, and then said ok, let’s try these Curex insoles, I was like ok…. He pulled 3 different options and explained that the 3 differences have different levels of support in different areas of your foot. I really appreciate that he took the time for me to learn from him, not just giving me something to buy. He then said ok, I think you will need the medium from my calculations but let’s try the one above 1st so you can see how it feels. He said go walk around the store a couple times, spend a few minutes in them to really understand how it feels. I was amazed how it really was a difference between walking around and then just standing for a little while how your foot feels. It felt so much better than what I had in my sneaks. Then said ok do the said with the Medium…. Wow again,to my surprise these felt much better, and truly realizing the difference it makes and time needed for my feet to realize and adjust as well as feel the real comfort. Hilario didn’t rush me, said take your time to make a decision, you need to really experience the insoles and he was 100% correct!!! While I was walking around this pretty store I was shocked to see Vuori clothing for men!!! There was this really nice pullover I liked. I saw a young lady her name is Sara and I asked her about a medium size. She looked it up and it was not in stock but she proceeded to tell me we can order this for you online, and when you buy something here and sign up for the REI Rewards card we give you a $30 gift card you can use towards your online purchase, and proceeded to give me all the information in ordering this specific item I wanted. What an Amazing experience, taking the time to not only share this information but give me the specific details to make my experience perfection!!! Walking up to the register, Aliya, with her big smile asked me how my experience was and I began to tell her about Hilario and Sara being so Amazing. She then said let’s get you set up with your REI account and took the time to help me set up my online account on my phone, making sure the app was working, how to Order and apply my discount for the $30 and made sure to tell me, in being a valued client, your shipping is free and you have 1 year on all returns!!! I was like where the heck am I??? This Experience was on another level, All 3 employees Truly care about my experience and made me feel so special like I was a part of the family of REI!!! I can’t remember in the last 10 years a place that exemplifies professionals who love where they work, care about the clients who come in, and make sure to take the time even after they have the sale to really make sure you know they appreciate your business!!! These 3 employees deserve the highest compliments from the owners and brand. Seriously I was touched, I sat in my car just thinking about what wonderful people who work in this very cool environment and was grateful!!! Thank you Hilario, Sara, and Aliya for your care, I am a client for life!!!

  REI is a great place to shop for outdoor and sports gear. I’ve had a very good experience here, and the quality of the products and service is excellent. - Great selection of outdoor, hiking, camping, and sports equipment. - The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. - Products are generally high quality and reliable. - The store is clean, organized, and easy to browse. - Great place to find gear for both beginners and experienced outdoor enthusiasts. - Customer service has always been very good. Overall, a 5-star experience. Great products, helpful staff, and a nice place to shop for anything outdoors!

  I had high hopes for my first visit and was disappointed. They had very low shoe inventory and it took a while to find someone to help with shoes. I ended up ordering the shoes I wanted online.

  This review is specifically for the awesome staff at this location. I had purchased a pair of low hikers at an REI store in NYC, and for New Balance, these things were deceptively wobbly. They were like wearing an ultra-cushioned pair of high heels when I tried them outside the first time, and my ankle kept threatening to roll. This has never happened before, so I was disappointed and flummoxed at what to do. Fortunately, the folks at REI said I had a year to return the shoes, even if I didn't have the box. I drove 45 minutes down to the nearest store, and even though I was skeptical, they did take the shoes back without any grief and I received a full refund. At that point, I was grateful that all of the different people I communicated with were clearly on the same page, and it was such a relief not to be stuck with a pair of shoes that I could not wear. The next step would be trying to replace them with a pair of shoes I could wear. I have a wide toebox, narrow heel, prefer a Vibram sole for my wet rock skipping, don't like crappy colors, and whatever that weird foot positioning that HOKA uses that threatens to pummel you straight downhill with the heel lift. Well, the woman in the shoe department knew everything about every shoe they carried. She knew how to compare different shoes based off of the ones that I liked. I have never had a shoe fitting experience like that since I was 10 years old getting fit for my first pair of orthotics at Stride Rite downtown. Just an amazing experience. Anything that I saw that could possibly come in a different color, she let me know that REI had some alternatives on their website that could be ordered in my size and sent to my house for no additional charge. Because of the distance, I did get there a half hour before they closed, and they were still willing to make sure I was satisfied before I left the store (on time!). Thanks again to all of the staff at this location. I think my shoes arrived two days later that had to be ordered, and I couldn't be any happier.
