REI Greenwood Village is my favorite bike shop. Michelle and Travis took great care of me when I came in with a bike emergency after damaging a wheel component. They quickly transferred my disc rotor and cassette and got me back on the road in no time.

Would prefer not to give any stars. The bike shop customer service is awful. Consistently have 3-4 employees who ignore people standing at the counter. Get told over and over again that someone will be “right with you” only to wait 15-20 minutes.

I shop at REI often. They have a return policy where if you’re not satisfied you can exchange your purchase within one year. Today I returned a pair of sandals and the cashier who name is Thomas was very nice but didn’t know how to use the system well, he got help from a lady, I didn’t pay attention about her name that was very rude. She needs to learn more customer service. Her Behavior was completely uncalled for。

Not so much for the woman who i asked for help about a rain and wind shell. I asked for an understanding of the differences between a $189 shell and a $98 shell. She immediately tried to steer me to the more expensive item without asking what it was going to be used for. She then used an analogy of the cheaper one being like "painted" and the expensive one like "wallpaper". Truly the most useless thing I've ever heard. I have been purchasing high end mountaineering gear for decades. She made absolutely no sense. I don't know if because I have white hair she thought I was old and stupid or what.
All she was trying to do was sell expensive, not match the purchase to the use.

My three year old son (Sullivan) and I went to REI for the Memorial Day sale going on in May to buy a bicycle trailer. I have been in the market to buy a bicycle for over a year now, but wasn't wanting to spend the money to get a decent one and didn't want to miss the sale on the Burley trailer going on. I'm trying to get Sully into being outdoors so he experiences life in the world instead of in front of screens.
It was a mad house as you can imagine when we went in. I saw that some of the bicycles were also on sale so I thought I would ask an employee some questions to see if they could talk me into purchasing a new bicycle. There weren't many employees free at the time we went in, so I patiently waited for one of the employees to finish up with a couple. I let him know that I had some questions when he was away from the couple and he made it seem like he would help me next.
Sully and I walked around the bicycles and patiently waited for the employee to finish up. Once he finished though, he disappeared to somewhere else in the store without letting me know he would be back to help me or to pass me off to someone else.
I found a second employee who was helpful, but it felt like he wasn't very enthused to answer my questions. It may have been because he wasn't very knowledgeable. The information he did share with me didn't push me over the hump to buy a bicycle and I was going to wait.
Then there was Garrett. As Sully and I were walking towards the register to purchase the bicycle trailer I saw him in the bicycle section not helping anyone. I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask for a second opinion, and I'm so happy that I did.
Garrett answered all my questions and talked with me about what I was looking for in a bicycle. He showed me the Cty 1.1 and explained why this specific bicycle would fit my needs. His patience was tremendous because I had a lot of questions and Sully was doing what three year old do best...running around and touching everything.
My conversation with Garrett sold me on the bicycle and then he helped me buy the equipment I needed to get out and ride with Sully. My time with him didn't feel like he was rushing through our interaction and made sure to take care of our needs. He was especially good with Sully.
I have put about 20 miles on my bicycle and trailer and I have been happy with my purchase. Thank you Garrett for taking the time to help Sully and me get our summer off to an adventurous start. Sully always asks me to take him on an adventure and now we can go on them with my new bicycle.
Garrett is the best!!
