  I walked in determined to walk away with new, good shoes that I can stand in 8-10 hours a day on concrete. Simone was the one who helped me and she went over and beyond, not just getting the shoe I asked for in my size, but asking questions about fit and how I would be using them and then going to the back and finding several pairs with a variety of different kinds of support. I tried on probably 9 or 10 pairs before I found something that would work and Simone was extremely patient with me throughout the process. I have tiny feet and they are wide, so finding anything in my size is complicated, but I was so happy to walk out with something that provided enough cushion plus the right kind of support for standing and not running. She also recommended socks that would help too. Wonderful experience!

  I had a great experience with Mark in the bike shop at REI in Fort Collins. I originally came in just to have a flat tire fixed after getting a goat head stuck in my inner tube and to pick up a spare tube for my bike pouch. While I was there, I mentioned that my gears had been shifting a little strangely. Mark took the time to check everything over, applied some lubricant, and explained that my bike would benefit from a full tune-up. I really appreciated that he didn’t just fix the immediate issue—he took the time to address another concern and explain what was going on. Mark was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Thanks to him, I’ll definitely be coming back for the tune-up. Great customer service!

  Danny at the ft Collins REI got me set up with excellent gear to climb mt Elber this year. First time hiking this trail. But my gear was top notch. I suggest anyone looking to hike trails to shop REI

  I stopped by here hoping to find some specific gear for a trip, but I left feeling pretty frustrated. The selection seemed a bit picked over, and when I tried to ask a staff member for help, they were not very knowledgeable about the products I was looking at. It felt like a wasted trip, and I will likely just shop online next time to avoid the hassle.
