  I usually don’t leave bad reviews for anyone or place. I went to this store on a little road trip. When I went to check out, the guy (w/ beard) checking me out was really hounding me to get a membership. I declined about 3 times. Afterwards, I asked for a 10 cent bag I saw offered to another customer, and he declined and said that they don’t do that anymore and told me that Colorado was bagless. I told him I was from Colorado and everywhere usually has a 10 cent option. He just repeated that they didn’t do that anymore and told me the total. I assume he thought I was a tourist and could just lie to me or just make me feel bad for wanting a bag (only asked because I needed it for car trash). Weird customer service. Also, my first time in a REI and it’s kind of turned me off from the store.

  Looking for sun protection clothing. They had a good selection available in-store to try on. Staff helpful and very knowledgeable of the outdoors as well as outdoor activities.

  Bike service dept is great! I had a major problem that took a week to correct and Max and Neil were both awesome to work with. Professional, knowledgeable, great communication, and they transformed my bike from unrideable to feeling brand new.

  The staff at the REI in Durango is amazing--welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable. The gentleman who helped me with backpacks went out of his way to help me find one that fits my petite figure. The next day we went back with my son to buy a backpack for his young son, and we were helped by another very helpful clerk. The staff at the counter was equally eager to assist. Thank you, Durango REI for making my shopping at your store so wonderful!
