Thank you Frank for helping me choose the appropriate multi-day hiking/camping pack for my trip in Yosemite! Coming to this store is always a treat, it’s like a giant adult playground, easy to spend hours here. Frank had excellent customer service, was incredibly knowledgeable about the gear I needed, and really took time to help me decide on some great stuff… that I’ll use for years to come.

This company has become an absolute joke and a hypocritical capitalistic greed machine. The prices are outrageous, the employees are smug and extremely passive aggressive. Their sales have been reduced to 5-6 items and very limited brands. Look at the back of your coupon and see AAALLLLL the items that are excluded from their "sales". Only discounts on the cheapest items because god forbid the customer....who pays for a membership, save any actual money. Greedy and hypocritical. Great job REI, you've officially lost yet another customer. go team left!!! that's what they're all about....exclusion

Went in today to get a nice pair of hiking boots and Chris back in the shoe dept was an absolute pleasure to work with. He’s got a lot of passion for footwear in addition to years of experience in designing and selling, and he helped me literally find my perfect boot based off the shape of my foot, what I needed from the shoe, he worked patiently with me on sizing, and we found quite literally the best boots I’ve ever put on my feet. Really looking forward to hiking this summer and wanted to say how great that experience was today. Ty Chris!

This store is just phenomenal, it deserves a review. Employees are always EXTREMELY helpful & kind, knowledgeable on items but also advice with outdoor activities. Everything is clean & well organized, bathrooms are clean, and lines move fast even on busy weekends & holidays. The store is just stunning & a great experience shopping there every time.

On March 23rd I visited this REI with my 2 daughters. We flew into Colorado to ski. We stopped here to buy some last minute items. I pulled up in my rented truck, and was surprised to have to pay to park. The parking lot was nice and in front of the store, and a parking attendant was stationed a mere 30 feet from my disabled parking spot (I am a veteran). When done in the store, I then drove to our hotel. Once at the hotel, I realized our ski bag had been stolen from the bed of our truck. This was shocking because I had parked very close to the parking lot attendant. I called REI, and told them and asked for help. They referred me to the parking lot company, because apparently that is a separate company there. The parking lot company referred me back to REI and said they had cameras but the parking lot didn’t. I talked to REI, again, and they didn’t know how or didn’t want to help me see the camera footage. I called the police and filed a report. The police contacted REI for the camera footage, as time is important in these matters, but REI refused to be helpful or let them see the footage with a signed warrant by a judge, a time consuming matter. Aside from the lack of security and safety at this REI, I was also disappointed that they were out of many different shoe sizes for myself and my daughters. After being a life long REI customer, the whole experience really put a bad taste in my mouth for them.
