A child left his $300 backpack and they “destroyed it”. When the manager was confronted about the missing backpack, she at first said they don’t have a lost and found as items could be dangerous… which is confusing as the entire business model is based on receiving donations from others, and not new items. She then said they kept the backpack for 1 day, but then decided to throw it in the trash compactor? She blamed the child for not keeping a better eye on it as well. All of this to say it was incredibly suspicious and not a good look for a company that relies heavily on community engagement and support.

This goodwill is seriously a gold standard. I have never been to a goodwill so organized and downright peaceful. The staff are very nice everytime I have been at this location. There is no garbage priced as treasure. But there is a lot of treasure to be found
