Plato's Closet buys and sells gently used clothing, shoes, sneakers, accessories and athletic wear for teens and young adults in Taylorsville. Sell styles you no longer wear for cash on the spot, or shop thrifted, secondhand, and resale fashion, including trendy, brand-name styles for less. With 500+ independently owned and operated locations across the U.S. and Canada, fresh inventory arriving daily, Plato's Closet makes thrifting easy, affordable, and more sustainable.
The staff were not friendly or engaging. Instead of interacting with customers, they stayed behind the counter talking amongst themselves. The selling process took significantly longer than it should have, especially considering there were four employees working at the time.
When I asked for help, they seemed inconvenienced, and I noticed the same attitude toward other customers who came in after me. Overall, the atmosphere was unwelcoming and not a great experience. The only positive part of my visit was that the store did purchase some of my items.
It’s also frustrating to bring in nice, quality clothing, only to find that the items available for purchase are often very worn, stained, or out of style. You can expect to receive around $1 per item, which feels low given the condition of what’s being sold. The selection has been poor for years. I keep coming back hoping to find something good, but I consistently leave disappointed.

There's brands with good price but I got there 7 minutes after fitting rooms closed but they took no exception for 7 minutes got home and they dont fit i would get it if I was there 15 or more minutes after the fitting rooms closed but it was 7 minutes overall not to bad just wish they would let me try on with a little lead way but rules are rules

I'm really disappointed by the experience I had here on Saturday. My partner happened to be changing in the fitting room and one of the workers went to knock on the door and didn't hear him, opened the door and then closed it again. This itself is an honest mistake, however this worker then proceeded to talk very loudly about this experience as if he was an idiot who didn't respond to her, when really he did and the music was too loud to hear him over. I find it extremely inappropriate that she felt it was okay to talk so loudly about him in the store not even 20 steps away. I, of course, was really unhappy about this and made it known to the cashier as I was checking out. This cashier proceeds to defend her coworker in talking poorly about customers loudly in the store where everyone can hear and argues with me after I told her I did not think that was appropriate behavior. While I was trying to pay a customer behind me added in to the conversation, and as I was responding to this customer the cashier tells me that it was "over" and if I kept continuing that they would deny me service. I'm extremely upset over this and don't think I'll ever want to come back here, I made a genuine complaint about a worker being disrespectful in the store where multiple people could hear, and in response I was met with arguing, more disrespect, and a worker and customer ganging up on me and myself being the one told I was continuing and going to be denied service. I've spent a lot of money here at this place, and I am appalled at how the worker handled this situation. No end greeting, threatening to deny me service for making a valid complaint, just threw my receipt down and walked away. This entire situation was handled extremely poorly by the cashier and other workers here in the store. I genuinely don't think I or any of my friends will ever come back to this store. One of the worst retail experiences I've ever had.
