Website said there was stock in the brick and mortar store that wasn't there. I will call ahead from now on.

Blick Art Materials is my favorite place in Salt Lake City for art supplies. They have a huge selection of acrylic paints, watercolor sets, sketchbooks, brushes, markers, and canvases, so it's easy to find everything for a new project. The staff is always helpful, the store is well organized, and the quality of the supplies is excellent.

I like supporting local businesses and it's nice to just be able to drop in and get your stuff. Everyone there has been very nice. My only complain is that I couldn't get the internet ad price. If people save money using everything online it's gonna be hard to stay in business

Went here because online stated a SALE on a particular product. They said WE cannot honor what it says online. But... create an account and it will match the sale online. So I did. THEN they said, Well, if you include shipping we are still cheaper than online. THAT IS NOT PRICE MATCHING. UGGHH. Hate these guys.

I've been a customer at blick for a long time, from back when it was still "utrecht". I love finding my supplies and getting advice and knowledge from the workers there. It truly has been an amazing experience up until some recent changes I've noticed. I cant help but leave this 1 star. There is a new worker there I believe to be a manger, (she doesn't wear an apron but definitely works there). In the last 6 months of shopping ive noticed her do some specific things that I have to point out somewhere.
I've seen her make sour faces at visibly disabled customers. I cant describe it as anything other than that
Ive seen her take pictures of customers without their knowledge
Ive been yelled at by her from across the store, asking if I need anything, when ive already been asked several times at a reasonable volume by other employees.
When I have asked her questions, she pulled out her phone to look it up, and told me she doesn't do art herself. This one particularly concerns me, as she works at an art supply store.
And lastly I have stood in line waiting to be checked out, and she will be typing on her phone, look up at me and the other people in line, and tell another employee to drop what theyre doing and man the register, and just walk away.
Since I've been shopping here for so long its been a real bummer to have this sudden shift in vibes and attitude. I have come to the point of seeking out other workers to get my knowledge from and avoiding this one employee. Otherwise the store is great 👍
