Your Ignition Interlock installation appointment will usually only take up to an hour or two, depending on the make and model of your vehicle. After having your Ignition Interlock Device installed, you’ll need to have your device serviced regularly at a Smart Start service center. These visits can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Our trained service technicians will help you to answer any questions you may have concerning your device.

Removing your Ignition Interlock Device is simple! Before you submit a removal request, please check with your state authority that you are authorized to remove your device. It’s important that you only have your device removed at a Smart Start service center.

    Well, it was going good until my device decided to mess up and give me a violation to where I have to make a payment for something that had to do with the device being faulty I been trying to dispute the charge. Nobody has helped me. Nobody's reached out to me. I've made two payments on accident cause one from auto pay and then I accidentally manually paid it because I had my card locked and it declined on auto pay so I manually did it and it turned around and auto drafted again and now they're trying to tell me that that money was already owed and I've been with the company for two months and I have paid three months of payments. Make that make sense. I need to speak to a supervisor I can never get a hold of anybody besides the people in the department that sit there and give me the runaround, but whoever was in the collections department was extremely rude and wouldn't give me her name and couldn't help Figure out anything!! But if you like having a company that you're not able to get a hold of or You only get calls and emails from robots and this is the company for you!!!

    The people who run the business locally are great. The parent company is an absolute joke. If you start with smart start, expect trouble and charges anytime you miss an appointment or have a problem. Customer service agents with thick accents that make them hard to understand. Long hold times. Extra charges to solve problems.

    The shotty I got was shotty at best I call I get ahold of somebody they tell me what they can tell me then they transfer me and as soon as the phone rings it hangs up so I can never get an answer this is getting old this is the 3rd time!
