I didn't get very far because the clothes were so few and far between. And just so outdated, I don't even know why they have a hanger them, Yet alone, why would they hang them up. Some of these DI's and Goodwills need to just purge and ask themselves.., would they wear that..?

I'm pretty disgusted as I learned this morning of the experience my sister in law had at THE RICHFIELD, UT. DESERET INDUSTRIES. Her house burned down a little over a month ago. She, and her husband have been living in a hotel until a rental home was available. They had to temporarily re-home their dog and Kitty. They are the sweetest people. My sister in law has been very sick and has had to have multiple surgeries in the past several months so this couldn't have come at a worse time for them yet they remain happy, and grateful. They are finally about to move into the rental but they literally have nothing but a few clothing items. My sister in law went to the DI in RICHFIELD, UT. yesterday in search of a hand mixer. She said that she found one still in it's box. She purchased it for $8. On her way out of the store, a woman suggested to her that she should plug it in to be certain that it worked. As she opened the box she discovered there were no attachments at all. She took it back to the cashier and asked for her $8 back but was denied any kind of refund, or even store credit! They must go with the " SOLD AS IS, " " BUYER BEWARE" policy. I am so beyond disappointed in this that I am personally going to contact their corporate office today and talk with someone. This store is affiliated with my church. This is NOT how we do business with one another, it's in the Ten Commandments which we believe in, and strive to live by!! " Though shall be honest in your dealings with your fellow man." Also, " Though shall not steal." (I'm paraphrasing these but you get it, we've all heard the ten commandments.) I have personally DONATED over $500 worth of items over the past three months to the DI IN RICHFIELD, UT. Including two brand new comforters, and new clothing with tags still attached, unused craft kits etc. My sister in law is not one to ask for help. I have asked her what her needs are as she has accepted some items from folks trying to help her and her good husband out but she won't tell me what she needs. She and her hubby are very independent and are determined not to be a burden to others. I will go buy her a mixer today at probably WALMART. I WILL NOT DONATE HERE AGAIN until I know that they have changed this policy!
