I've stopped at the Cabela's in Lehi several times over the years, and I still find myself wandering around longer than I planned every single visit. Even if you're not shopping for hunting or fishing gear, it's worth taking the time to walk through the store. The huge mountain displays, taxidermy exhibits, and indoor aquarium give the place a unique atmosphere that feels more like a museum mixed with an outdoor adventure lodge than a retail store. There's always something interesting to look at around every corner. One of the things I enjoy most is just slowing down and taking in all the details. The massive fireplace, rustic woodwork, and carefully designed displays create an experience that feels distinctly different from a typical big-box store. I've spent more time than I'd like to admit browsing gear I had absolutely no intention of buying, only to convince myself that I suddenly needed it. The staff have always been friendly and willing to answer questions without making you feel pressured. Whether you're an avid outdoorsman, traveling with kids, or simply curious, this is a fun stop that offers a lot more than shopping. My recommendation: give yourself at least twice as much time as you think you'll need, because there's a pretty good chance you'll leave knowing far more about fishing lures, camouflage patterns, and mountain wildlife than you expected.

What on earth happened to this iconic place?! First off, why in the world is there an aggressive Hilton timeshare salesmen set up right inside the store? He bombards and annoys people who just want to look at gear. If I wanted to be aggressively harassed by salespeople while trying to relax, I’d buy a plane ticket back to Cabo. The magic is completely gone. All the cool, unique outdoor stuff has been replaced by miles of overpriced clothing and an ocean of Yeti products that seem to take up 90% of the floor space. To make matters worse, they got rid of the awesome restaurant and the arcade is in disarray. Now, the floor is mostly run by unfriendly, grumpy old men just wasting time. When this location first opened, it was an absolute icon in the valley. Now, it feels like an overpriced, antiquated, glorified shopping mall that completely sold out to corporate greed. Bring back the old, outdoorsman-friendly Cabela’s that we actually used to love.

The lines take so long. There are 5 workers standing when there’s 2 lines with 10 people each. OPEN ANOTHER LANE! It’s annoying wanting to buy 1 item and I have to wait 30 minutes in line. Open more lanes please! It keeps me from wanting to buy from cabelas and just go to scheels.

The customer service here is awful. You can't even honor the price YOU placed on a price tag on the actual object! Not even just signage on the actual item. I was passed through many members of the team and no one wanted to assist me and just continued passing me to the next person. Many of your staff were unfriendly and stand offish. They seemed irritated to help me.
