  I bought two pair of jeans. The jeans had a wash. After I wore the first pair, I noticed they had what looked like bleach droplets on the lower pant leg. I assumed I spilled something on them and put them in the clothes hamper. I put the second pair on and noticed they had the same bleach spots. I took the jeans back to American Eagle. I was told that was the design for that color but none of the other colors had the same spots on the lower pant legs. The sales clerk said since I had worn them, I could trade the jeans in and receive $10 each to be applied to new jeans. I left the jeans without buying new jeans because I didn’t want the jeans with the droplets. I am out the money but it’s more the principle. I will never again do business with American Eagle.

  I’m really disappointed with both the quality of the jeans I got and the store’s customer service. My first pair had a back pocket starting to rip, and the replacement pair ripped near the zipper after just one wear—only worn for a quick grocery trip. When I tried to return the second pair, even with a receipt, I was told that because the tags were removed, my only option was to donate them for $10 off a new pair. After paying $60 for jeans that fell apart twice, that response felt really dismissive. Between the poor product quality and the lack of support from the store, I wouldn’t recommend shopping here. Save yourself the time and money.
