Bass Pro Shops is absolutely iconic and definitely worth a visit. It’s a fantastic outdoor store with a unique atmosphere that makes the experience more than just shopping.
The selection of outdoor gear is huge, and there’s something special about the whole vibe of the place. Of course, the classic Bass Pro Shops cap was a must-buy for me.
Overall, a great stop if you’re into outdoor lifestyle, camping, or just want to experience a bit of American outdoor culture. Highly recommended!

Prices are high, Merrell shoes are $50 more than they are on Amazon. I get that one puts higher cost forward to have the brick and mortar, but $169 for shoes i can get delivered for $116 is ridiculous.

They have a great selection of products, that's all they have going for them. During our last visit we had a horrible encounter with a pushy salesman about a timeshare. We made it clear we weren't interested and he wouldn't drop it, he then had another employee come over to question us as well about why we wouldn't purchase the timeshare. The second associate then proceeded to question my husband's military service, stating people often fake it. We will NOT be back.

Great place but beware of the relentless salespeople at the kiosk. They will keep you there for a while trying to sell you stuff. They dont always accept no for an answer. Staff could use some training but I forgive that as they were younger and everyone has to learn. Great place overall for most outdoor needs.

I’ll start with the positive… the checkout counter lady was super nice and friendly and after I shared my experience she apologized and said they should honor the posted prices, and she was sorry the help/service in fishing department was so poor. She chatted me up while I waited for my son.
The man who finally helped me get a price on tents that were out was also super friendly and helpful. However I had to wander and wait until I finally caught his attention. There was a whole display but no pricing anywhere so I had to get help just to find out prices and that took waaay too long as there was no one in the store.
Now the negative which prompted my review— we went in the store to find fishing pole cases. The store was closing in 30 minutes so I get maybe the guy was just done helping for the day, but I asked the guy in fishing department to help me and he just pointed to them. I tried asking a few questions but he was distracted and said you can make your own you know (which I’m glad he did bc that’s exactly what we ended up doing since it was so hard to figure out prices).
There were posted prices but they didn’t match any of the cases to know what was what. We thought we had it figured out and went to go purchased at the front but it rang up $40 more than we expected, so I sent my son back, and the guy said oh those are outdated prices.
So, we both went back together and he was nowhere to be found again, so we put it back and said I guess we will make our own at Home Depot. As we walked out he and the nice tent helper were talking.
Fishing guy saw we were empty handed after 3 interactions and didn’t say anything but have a good night.
Lost a sale, and trust me I didn’t want to make another stop at Home Depot and go through the hassle, but I just couldn’t get help and was tired of running back and forth. We also noticed he had removed the “price list” completely when we both went back the third time. I was shocked at the poor service.
