    My favorite Sunglass hut store! Always my “go to” store. Special shout out to manager Carlos. Such good customer service, I’m always coming back. I now live in va beach, but come back to NY because they are that good!

    I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Sun Hut Glass in Cross County. About two weeks ago, I spoke directly with the manager, Carlos, regarding exchanging my Meta sunglasses, which I had purchased for $329 along with the protection plan, and i wanted to switch for the transition lenses. Carlos told me there would be no issue making the exchange and explained that the transition version was currently on sale for $399. He stated that I would simply need to pay the price difference and pay $125 protection fee. I agreed and came back the very next day expecting to complete the exchange. When I arrived, I was told that I could not receive the sale price and would instead have to pay full retail price plus the $125 protection fee. I asked the employee to contact Carlos since his explanation the day before was completely different. When he got on the phone, he apologized and admitted he had made a mistake, then informed me that the sale price only applied to new purchases and not exchanges. I left frustrated and contacted corporate customer service. While they understood my frustration and agreed that the situation was unfortunate, they explained they could not intervene because the location is franchised. Ironically, they told me that had I purchased online, the sale price could have been honored. I then submitted a complaint to the store and received a call from the assistant manager the following day. She acknowledged that I had a valid concern but only offered $25 off the regular price rather than honoring the sale price that had originally been promised. She also said Carlos would contact me the next day to discuss the issue further. As of today, I have still not received a call, and the sale has now expired. What disappoints me the most is not the price itself, but the lack of accountability and follow-through. I relied on information provided directly by the store manager, made a trip back to the store based on that information, and was ultimately left with no meaningful resolution. I have purchased several pairs of glasses from this location over the years, but after this experience, I will not be making any future purchases there. So I get a follow up call from Carlos to tell me he can not do anything about this situation. There is nothing in the policy that stats sale items will not be applied. Also, he decided to point out that i am the only customer to give him a hard time about this situation. Thank you for a pointless call with no resolution. I even offered to meet me half way and he said no.

    I’ve been going to the Sunglass Hut in Cross County, Yonkers for over 10 years and the service has never missed. Every visit feels personal because the team truly cares about getting you into the right pair of sunglasses. Julie is always incredible. She gives honest feedback, helps you figure out what actually looks good, and makes the whole process easy. She is a 10 when it comes to customer service and her energy is a big part of why I keep coming back. I also want to highlight the store manager who consistently sets the tone for amazing customer satisfaction. He always makes sure you are getting your discounts, checks that the glasses fit comfortably, and makes sure you leave happy. You can tell he takes pride in the store and in taking care of customers. Thank you to the whole team, especially Julie, for always keeping it real, always going above and beyond, and making this location the reason I have stayed loyal for over a decade.😎
