  You want to hear real irony? I searched for and found DXL because I'm 6'2" and weighed 308 lbs. Perfect store, great selection, different styles,etc..... I lost 65 lbs. and now you guys don't provide clothes small enough for me. Luckily I still have the XXL man mentality and prefer loose clothing. You 2X still looks decent on me, feels great. If I have any complaints its please, please, please allow us larger humans to continue to shop DXL and have some 1XL clothing available. Thank you for existing!

  I am submitting this complaint to report an incident involving discriminatory and degrading treatment that my family experienced at a retail clothing store in New York. On April 20th 2026, my family and I entered DXL Big+Tall Store# 09415 with the intent of purchasing clothing for my son. Upon entering, there were no sales representatives available to assist us. As we began browsing the merchandise on our own, a salesperson approached us and, without being prompted, told us that there was “nothing in the establishment” for our family to purchase and that we were “not fit” for the merchandise sold there. This statement was not only unprofessional, but also deeply offensive and humiliating. We were made to feel unwelcome and singled out in a public setting. The manner in which this was communicated discouraged us from shopping and created a hostile and uncomfortable environment for my entire family. Despite this treatment, we attempted to continue shopping. However, no staff member offered assistance, guidance, or fitment support at any point, even though we were clearly interested in making a purchase. This lack of service, combined with the earlier remarks, reinforced the impression that we were being intentionally ignored and excluded. This incident had a particularly harmful emotional impact on my son, who was already facing challenges in finding appropriate clothing. The experience left him visibly upset and discouraged. I believe the actions of the salesperson Khari and the overall treatment we received may constitute discrimination in a place of public accommodation, which is prohibited under the New York Law Against Discrimination. The conduct we experienced went beyond poor customer service and reflects behavior that appears intended to exclude and demean I respectfully request that this matter be formally investigated. I am seeking accountability for the conduct of the employees also the Manager which didn’t want to give her name , be involved and appropriate corrective action to ensure that no other family is subjected to similar treatment.
