- RRRandy RooNov 7, 20221.0Intoxalock is the absolute WORST company i have EVER DEALT WITH!! AND THEY ARE LEGITIMATELY PRACTICING EXTORTION!! It is impossible to get a hold of a live person at customer service. When you do they barely speak english and this is during regular business days and hours here in the US. They are ABSOLUTELY RUDE and OUTRIGHT DISPRESPECTFUL!! When you get mad about it and call them on it they LITERALLY HANG UP ON YOU!!! My battery died in the middle of the night (they told me it happened at 3am in my driveway!!) ,the loss of power triggered a lockout and they want 85 dollars to end the lockout or they will just shut my car off! FOR WHAT!!? THATS EXTORTION!!! How am I responsible for a dead battery!!!?

Bring a photo ID and proof of residence in the form of a document verifying your address. You may also be asked to bring any documents that pertain to your case, depending on the state in which you or your program are located. How often does my Ignition Interlock Device need to be serviced?

What do I need for removal?
Requirements will differ by state, but generally your state authority must grant removal authorization before you can have your IID removed. You will then need to fill out the Device Removal Request form on our website and upload any official documentation that may be required to authorize the removal.
Do I need an Interlock Device on all of my vehicles?
Some states will require that you have an Ignition Interlock Device installed on all cars registered to you, but most states will just require that whichever vehicle you drive have an IID installed. Check with your state authority to see if you will need an IID installed on all of your cars.

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.
What can breathalyzers detect?
Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
Can I unplug my Ignition Interlock?

Can someone else drive my car?
