With 500+ independently owned and operated locations across the U.S. and Canada, fresh inventory arriving daily, Plato's Closet makes thrifting easy, affordable, and more sustainable.
Total waste of time - I was hoping to sell a set of clothing - mostly new with tags or never worn - first I was given the wrong information when I called about how to provide the items (must be in a plastic tub) so I went to the restore next door to buy one. I left the items and then received a text that there was a quote prepared for me. I assumed this meant that they were interested in some of the items. Nope! I went to pick up the box and no offers were made. Is this a bait and switch tactic so people don’t leave their boxes behind? I’m out gas money and the money for the box.

Came three times to drop off clothing and was turned away because they were full. Told me to come back right at 10am like I don't have a full time job. Terrible customer service, no one was in line waiting to drop off. They should have just take it. Now I have wasted my second lunch break and a weekend day. Done.

The people driving down this location because of their selling experiences have completely distorted the quality of this store. Google reviews is NOT the place to air your grievances about your desire to make a buck.
I almost decided against coming because the Google rating was so low, but was absolutely thrilled when I walked through the doors. I reinvigorated my wardrobe at an extremely reasonable price. HIGHLY recommend.

Reviewed policies for selling online on the Plato's closet website. Packed up three bags of clothes, came out on a hot day and brought them in by 12:30 pm. Walked into the store (lugging everything on) to be told, without a friendly greetings that "they were full for the day" and that the clothes "needed to be in bins, labeled, etc." I said I checked the website and the same employee responded "that's very general and each store has its own policies." Didn't look up, say anything else, extremely rude. Unprofessional, unhelpful website and I will be taking my items - some never used with tags on - to another store as well as donate. Will not return to this store.
