  TL;DR: Fantastic experience. John and Leia made my first watch purchase genuinely memorable, and this will absolutely be my preferred first stop as my collection grows. Had an excellent experience at Watches of Switzerland @ One Vanderbilt. I stopped in looking for a Hamilton Khaki Field Murph which was just 5 minutes of the ordeal and ended up spending 30 more minutes talking watches. John was fantastic! Knowledgeable, patient, genuinely enthusiastic, and never made the experience feel transactional or pressured. Even after helping me purchase the Murph, he took the time to show me some exceptional pieces from Omega, Girard-Perregaux, Patek Philippe and others, and we had some great conversations about movements, complications, and collecting. Leia was equally welcoming, helped get the bracelet sizing just right, and is even following up directly with Hamilton about a missing tool that should have been included with my collector edition watch-box/kit. Will post an edit once I hear back. What impressed me most was that the level of attention never seemed dependent on the price of the watch I was buying. I came in for a Hamilton and was treated with the kind of hospitality you’d hope to receive buying something considerably more expensive. I noticed the same warmth extended to customers who simply walked in to browse. I left with my first timepiece, a great memory attached to it, and an easy decision about where I’ll be returning as my collection grows.

  Hello, Rolex and Patek owner here. Tried to enter the store to buy a Cartier but was rudely told to wait in the street “because they were conducting a transaction.” Meaning, they only have the ability to sell one watch at any moment in time. Weird, you would think that being in the business of selling watches they might be able to sell more than one watch at a time, but apparently not. So I walked over to Boucherer and bought one there instead. Avoid.

  Disappointing experience. Had a watch bracelet that wasn’t clasping properly. Went to this store to have it looked at. They didn’t give a time estimate but it ended up being 3 months to get the watch back after multiple email requests for update. When I did get my watch back (after charging me $50 more than what was mentioned in the email), the clasping mechanism still did not work. Customer service was also generally poor. Maybe other Watches of Switzerland locations are better but I would avoid this one.
