  After inquiring about some items (furs, crystal, silverware) I received a text almost instantly wanting to make an appointment and asking for a more detailed photo of one item. No sooner do I send the photo, I receive an email indictating that they are not interested in my items. I'm very disappointed in this lack of customer care & service.

  I’ve been buying from these people for going on 20 years and it still astounds me the amount of fresh jewelry and goods they come up with every week! Amazing.

  I had a surplus of costume jewelry that I had to sort out, Adam couldn't have been nicer & very patient to return a couple times, he was fair and gave me the best prices I could have found without selling online. Thank you Adam & I hope my jewelry will make someone happy :)

  ADAM ZIMMERMAN FROM SYL LEE ANTIQUES WAS AMAZING WHEN OUR LOVED ONE DIED AND LEFT US ALL HER JEWELRY, GOLD, SILVER, DIAMONDS, SILVER WARE AND OTHER VERY OLD SPECIAL ANTIQUES THAT HAVE BEEN IN THE FAMILY FOR YEARS. I CALLED SEVERAL PLACES IN THE CITY AND LONG ISLAND AND ADAM ZIMMERMAN RETURNED MY CALLS IMMEDIATELY, ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS AND PAID MUCH HIGHER PRICERS FOR THE ABOVE ITEMS THAN EVERY OTHER JEWELER AND ESTATE BUYER I CALLED. HE GRACIOUSLY AND KINDLY WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO GIVE ME FREE APPRAISALS ON ITEMS I WANTED TO KEEP. HE DID NOT PRESSURE ME EVER. SOFT SPOKEN, HONEST AND PERSONABLE. I DID NOT BELIEVE THESE TYPE OF HONEST PEOPLE EXISTED IN THE WORLD TODAY. And the prices he offered shocked me. There is not an honest dealer out there but his store. Thank you Adam and Syl-Lee for your quick response, driving to my home and offering and paying more than any other dealer. Hope to do business with you in the future., Sincerely Jill Tilghman.

  I’m usually wary of companies that advertise in local publications, but I took a chance and called Syl-Lee as I had a large quantity of vintage jewelry that I needed to sell. Adam returned my call very quickly and we made an appointment to come to my home and assess what I had. He arrived on time and took his time looking at the 34 shoeboxes of earrings, bracelets and necklaces, telling me as he worked what had value and could easily be sold and what had less value. He made me feel comfortable and at the end of his ‘work’ made me an offer for the whole lot. He was respectful, not pushy or aggressive and I told him I would think about it. I waited 2 weeks and made my decision and he came over and took everything. Adam was a pleasure to work with, knowledgeable and professional.
