Unacceptable Customer Service
We visited this store around 4–5pm today and had an extremely disappointing experience.
I asked to try on the Polo Play Bag because I wanted to check how the crossbody strap fit before purchasing. The sales associate refused and told me that if I did not already intend to buy it, I should not try it on.
I genuinely cannot understand how a luxury retail experience can expect customers to purchase bags without even being allowed to test the fit. It was also shocking to hear the implication that the bag’s quality would somehow “get old” simply from being tried on. That is completely unacceptable for a brand positioned as high-end.
I came into the store excited and fully intending to purchase the bag I had been eyeing for some time. I had even grabbed coffee at Ralphs Coffee beforehand and was looking forward to shopping. Instead, I left feeling embarrassed and extremely disappointed.
After reading through other Google reviews, it seems this location has had customer service complaints for quite a while, which makes it even more concerning that management does not appear to be addressing the issue at its root.
I strongly encourage management to review the CCTV footage from today and properly address this employee’s behavior. I will also be escalating this directly to Ralph Lauren corporate, since it seems customer concerns shared through Google reviews have not resulted in meaningful improvement.

Terrible terrible experience.
I was fully prepared to buy a Polo Play bag and was deciding between the black leather and suede versions. I asked to try it on with the strap, and an older woman sales associate repeatedly told me not to unless I was buying it because “other people won’t want it if it doesn’t look new anymore.”
Sorry… isn’t the bag for sale? She acted like I was trying on her personal bag at home.
I left and bought from another Polo store instead. Really rude and uncomfortable luxury retail experience.

My mother and I came in to purchase a few items for an upcoming wedding and subsequent trip. I guess we weren’t deemed worthy, as we were treated quite contemptuously. Horrid customer service and we won’t go back.

We had a disappointing experience today.
While briefly taking photos on the staircase level, some customers paused as they noticed us, though we were not aware they were waiting. The moment we realized, we immediately apologized and stepped aside. The customers responded very kindly, smiling and reassuring us that it was not an issue at all.
However, the employee accompanying them addressed us in a sharp and dismissive tone, stating, “My customers don’t have to wait for you,” before walking away.
Given that we had already acknowledged the situation and moved aside—and that the customers themselves were understanding—this response felt unnecessary and unprofessional. I have always associated Ralph Lauren with a high standard of courtesy and refinement, which made this interaction particularly surprising.
