I am extremely disappointed by the experience my family had at this Ralph Lauren store today.
We have been loyal Ralph Lauren customers for years, and since my two-year-old son was born, we have regularly purchased Ralph Lauren clothing for him. Unfortunately, today's experience was the exact opposite of the welcoming and family-friendly image the brand promotes.
An older sales associate repeatedly approached my two-year-old son about touching a stuffed animal. Later, after I specifically asked an employee whether another teddy bear was available for purchase and was told that it was, I handed it to my son. Less than five minutes later, the same employee came back and asked if we were going to pay for it. This made me feel that my family was being unfairly singled out.
The most upsetting part happened when my two-year-old accidentally fell inside the store and hit a sharp corner. He cried, as any toddler naturally would. No employee came over to check whether he was okay or offer any assistance.
Instead, another customer confronted us, demanded that we leave the store until my son stopped crying, and insulted my child by calling him "a monkey" and saying he was "not a normal child." Two employees witnessed the entire incident but did nothing to intervene or de-escalate the situation. Even as the customer left, they wished him, "Have a nice day."
Two other customers who witnessed the incident also commented that the employees should have stepped in to prevent the situation from escalating. They pointed out that every parent understands toddlers cry after getting hurt and that a family shopping with a young child deserves compassion and support.
As a global brand that proudly sells clothing for babies and children, I expected empathy, professionalism, and a safe environment for families. Instead, I left feeling deeply disappointed by the lack of care and support shown by the staff.
I sincerely hope Ralph Lauren reviews the store's surveillance footage, investigates this incident thoroughly, and provides better training so that no other family has to experience what we did.

horrible. my sister and her baby that’s 2 years old was rudely asked to leave the store by a customer because her son was crying. the baby was crying because he hit his neck on a table corner and was visibly hurt. every child cries, but asking us to leave the store and “come back when you’ve calmed your son” is unacceptable. it’s a store made for children. the employees and clerks didn’t do anything either to stop the situation and just watched them argue. only after the customer has left is when the employee “comforted” and showed concern to us. the employee was also giving us attitude since we walked into the store. the baby was holding a bear plushie, but the clerk continuously asked us “are you going to buy that”almost as if we couldn’t touch it unless we were buying it. suggest going to a different store with more welcoming and nice employees.

Bad experience here. Came into the store with disgusted faces of your salesperson. Told them that i am looking for my newborn son and they just pointed while toying with their phones showing no sense of salesmanship. When i picked out the clothing from the hanger off the rack, they were so quick to tell me not to pull the items off the rack or in other words mess it up. I do understand to not make a mess out of it but to tell me off just like is just very rude. I hope that in the future the salesperson could get more training in handling customers with more warmth and empathy.
I have to make this comparison with RL’s stores in the asia region, they treat their potential customers with a lot of respect be it if they make any purchases or not.
I dont know if it is my race or my outfit that disgusts them to not serve me with respect but i hope they could improve this. Dont give your brand a bad name.
