I’ve been a loyal Loewe admirer for years, drawn to the brand for its design and supposed craftmanship, but my recent experience has left me completely disappointed.
I received a Loewe Puzzle Edge Small as a gift in March 2025 from my then boyfriend (now husband). After just over a year of careful use, the zipper cloth tore, not in just one spot but three areas along the zipper, making it almost impossible to open or close the bag. For a luxury brand at this price point, a defect like this is the last thing you’d expect.
I brought the bag to the Greene Street boutique for repair. Elisa, the associate, even acknowledge that the damage was NOT NORMAL wear and tear - yet I was told nothing could be done and I’d have to cover the repair cost myself, essentially paying for their lack of craftmanship. Because the bag was a gift, I don’t have the original receipt, but I provided the proof of authenticity card, the bank statement for the purchase, and even the price tag that came attached to the card. The authenticity of this bag is simply not in question, yet none of it made any difference.
When I escalated to client services, it was even worse. There was no ownership of the issue, no attempt to solve the problem, no alternatives offered - just a flat, dismissive template response with a complete lack of accountability.
What disappoints me most isn’t just the product - it’s the dismissive attitude throughout. For a luxury brand that markets itself on prestige and quality, the after sales service has been a genuine letdown and totally disregards a loyal customer. I had been eyeing the Flamenco bag, but after this, I won’t be buying from Loewe again. I’d even strongly urge family and friends to take their money elsewhere. The price simply isn’t matched by the quality or the customer support
I placed a remote order with Loewe’s SoHo boutique through sales associate Alondra and completed payment via the payment link provided. The associate entered an incorrect shipping address for my order. As soon as I noticed the error through the UPS tracking information the following day, I immediately contacted the store. I was assured that the address issue had been corrected.
Despite those assurances, UPS has since either lost track of the package or initiated a return to sender. Over the course of this ordeal, I have repeatedly followed up with the associate, Loewe Client Services, UPS, and the store manager, Joseph. I have spent considerable time trying to resolve an issue that was caused by the merchant’s error, including rearranging my schedule on multiple occasions to be available to sign for a delivery that never arrived. At no point has anyone offered a concrete solution to ensure that I receive the item I purchased or otherwise resolve the matter.
I reached the point where I could no longer continue to devote time and energy to correcting a mistake that was not mine. Because the merchant has failed to remedy the situation or provide my purchase, I was left with no reasonable alternative but to dispute the charge with my credit card issuer. At no time did Loewe demonstrate care or urgency in addressing this matter.
