  I was turned off by their aggressive store-card practices. On line at the store, they verbally guilt-shame you for not turning over your data for their "reward" program. Then they use the first checkout station only for those "rewards" programs, thereby penalizing those of us who don't want to fork over all our personal details for its data harvesting. Then, the cashier deceptively sold me a bag for $2 by implying that they ran out of paper bags (when I saw they didn't as I was walking by). I left with a bad taste in my mouth. Then I researched these practices on Perplexity and learned that these practices are pervasive. I invite corporate to tell me if that $2 was worth this review. I give two stars because the selection for sneakers/shoes is good. It's unbelievable that a company of this size with prime retail in NYC at Union Square would allow these practices to happen. You need to revise your business model if your margins are so bad that you look the other way while these bad practices are occurring at your store.

  Large shoe selection but customer service is inconsistent and not staffed appropriately. They have way too many associates going up and down the aisle asking if you need help every 2 seconds. While I appreciate the attentiveness, I also would like to browse in peace. Self check out attendant was too overly focused on one customer at a time and neglects the others who are either waiting in line or might need help with their purchases. They should move some associates from the aisles to monitor the check out area. They also charge $1-2 for a paper bag!! Other stores charge 0.10 - 0.30 for a similar sized paper bag. Bring your own bag if you can.

  The worst service! Friday morning at 9:00, the cashier was rude and ready to attack over a very simple question. Spoke to the manager, who said he will talk to her. I came into the store to get an answer about a coupon I had and instead of asking me to show her the coupon, the cashier starteded to raise her voice and attack me. You hire people who are ready for a war and not ready to sell shoes. I have never experienced such a nasty, angry cashier!!!! I suggest not to ask questions because you'll get yelled at.
