Visited the store on Saturday 7/4/26 and spent about an hour inside between 5:30-6:30pm shopping with my friend. I am familiar with Intimissimi stores, as I have been to other locations across various states and while customer service is usually lackluster, it’s nothing to complain about. You get help when you need it, associates do their job, and it works fine for me. Not at this location on this afternoon though.
I believe the girl’s name is Mackayla, but she was incredibly rude and clearly was disinterested in working there or offering any level of customer service. Each time I needed help, I had to make an effort to get her attention - probably because she was too engrossed in her personal conversation with another associate.
Even then, I simply asked for a size in a bra, to which she said “We probably don’t have any more in that size. They run big anyway” 🤯 as if to insinuate that even if they had it, it would not fit me. Regardless, that comment was factually untrue as anyone who knows the brand, or any Italian brand, would know if anything they would be more likely to run small. Because her clear lack of effort gave me zero confidence, I decided to look myself in the section she was immediately standing in front of. Lo and behold I found two bras of the same design, different styles, in my size. I also proceeded to look in the under stock drawers for additional sale styles and sizes. This was the only time she decided to proactively approach me to tell me I should ask her if I needed help (!), as the drawers were for employees not customers.
Upon exit from the fitting room after trying on, she was there and asked “is there anything you didn’t want?” To which I began to hand her a couple of items, and before I could even separate them out from my pile, she stopped me and said “oh, those go upstairs, you can take them up.” 🤯 Had these not been products I had my eye on for a while and were not in stock elsewhere, I would have opted not to make a purchase that day because of these interactions.
Diana, on the other hand was very warm, proactive and efficient about help in sharp contrast. Tony was also pleasant when my friend and I needed help.
Intimissimi, please inspect your talent at this flagship location and encourage better coaching from store leadership. Her comments about sizing didn’t faze me but to someone else who is more self-conscious about her body, it could be. Selling lingerie is deeply personal and intimate, and should be held to a higher standard than what Mackayla displayed that day.
