I would not recommend Deer Mountain Apartments. For the entire 12 months of my lease, I've had an ongoing mold problem that was never properly fixed. Every time I reported it, maintenance would simply paint over the mold and call it a "repair." Within about a week, the mold would come right back.
This wasn't a one-time issue—it continued throughout my entire lease despite multiple maintenance requests. Covering mold with paint is not a real solution, and it's frustrating to deal with the same problem over and over.
If you're considering living here, I would strongly encourage you to ask how they handle mold and water damage before signing a lease. Based on my experience, the issue was never actually resolved.

Be cautious if you live in or are considering these apartments. There is a medium-to-large dog that frequently roams the neighborhood without supervision and approaches other dogs.
This has been an ongoing issue, and the dog has repeatedly run up to mine during walks. I’m concerned about safety and health, as my dog was exposed to what appeared to be lice after one of these encounters.
It’s frustrating because we make an effort to keep our dog well-trained and healthy, but it’s difficult when there are loose, unsupervised animals in the area. This situation makes it hard to feel comfortable walking pets around the neighborhood.
I hope management and the dog’s owner address this, as it affects the safety and well-being of other residents and their pets. In the meantime, pet owners should stay alert.
