  For the most part, I have enjoyed living here. My first year had no issues. However, I am halfway through my second lease and I’ve ran into two serious issues where I feel that management is just not delivering. Pros: Great location. Apartment is surrounded in trees. Love that I can walk to various restaurants and stores, Half Price Books, the movies, Trader Joe’s, etc. Despite what some have said, I’ve never had an issue finding parking. Even if I get home pretty late some nights. Never had an issue with crime, despite some people’s experiences. Pretty peaceful complex most of the time imo. Minor issues with the apartment have always been fixed right away such as fire detectors, smart lock battery dying, blinds not working, etc. Office management had been pretty pleasant for the most part. Cons: As some have said, these buildings are old, and it starts to show after a while. I might just be the unlucky tenant, but I’m currently dealing with a family of unknown, larger rodents living in my ceiling and crawling behind my walls. It’s been about 40 days at this point and management has been giving me the run around. I waited 30 days for them to do something before I reached out wondering why my work request was still pending. They responded that the roofers hadn’t come to fix the issue due to weather. A few days later I see the roofing company at my building fixing the roof, but they did nothing to try to remove the animals b/c the animals are still here. When I emailed the office for clarification on whether the roofers were to remove the animals or a professional wild animal/pest control company, they completely ignored me. (They have always quickly answered every other single email I’ve sent while I have been living here.) Once I emailed them again demanding a clearer response, they basically said it was maintenance that was supposed to take care of it and that they would check on the request. Ever since then, they have still not given me any updates. It makes it seem as if they pretended that the roofing company would fix the issue. It worries me that the animals are causing interior damage that I can’t see, and that they may possibly be damaging any electrical wiring which can become a fire hazard for myself and neighboring tenants. Not to mention potential sanitary issues down the road. They have also been disrupting my sleep. Another issue I faced earlier this year was a serious German cockroach infestation. I have never experienced anything like it at other places I have lived in throughout San Antonio. While management responded to my requests and had maintenance come to my unit, it was the bare minimum to fix the issue. They only sprayed pesticide on the kitchen floors and that was it. I literally had to buy sticky traps, liquid baits, and poison food gel to get rid of them. I found out that they were probably coming through the wall behind my stove/fridge and a colony was most likely living in the back of my fridge in the motor area, as the cardboard backing of the fridge seemed to be chewed out and I found most of the cockroaches in that area. I told management about the likely fridge infestation issue and they just didn’t seem to care to help. I was finally able to get rid of the cockroaches myself. I really wouldn’t feel comfortable with a tenant moving into my unit until management fixes the serious rodent issue though. Stay away from building 20!!! I have added a video where you can hear the animals crawling around in the ceiling. At first I thought maybe the upstairs neighbor got a new dog, but once I heard them travel directly from the ceiling and into the wall behind my bed frame multiple times I knew it was some kind of rodent. Had I known I would have faced these pest issues into my second lease, I would have left to find another place. Misc. Cons: The gym set-up is pretty bare compared to some of the other apartments I’ve seen. And occasionally one of the other tenants in the building seems to be smoking weed and it travels through the vents, contaminating the air in my unit.

  My guy and I was given a chance to enjoy a community filled with love. Lizette , the management team always make nothing is ever needed. Love the wine adult get togethers. Pools are always clean and open. Never once have a need not been met. Ventana is perfect. ❤️

  Ok, I will start by saying, Ventana apartments has been a wonderful experience; Everyone has treated me so nice, employees at the office, maintenance and every body who is part of the team in charge of this complex are excellent and efficient people!!🤓, and if I tell you about the people who lives in this apartments, I will say it feel like they were my neighbors for a long time, When you stay here and you walk around the complex, it feels peaceful and secure, my pooches and I had an amazing experience every time we went for walks, we meet other people with pooches at the dog park they have and even my pooches were so happy!!😃, we will miss this place for sure, Thank you Ventana team for all the awesome job you do.

  Been living at Ventana for a while now and honestly it’s been a great experience. The staff is super friendly and actually helpful, maintenance is quick, and the resident events are always fun. It really feels like a little community here, neighbors are cool, and the location is perfect. No complaints.

  I moved in about a month ago. The apartments are really beautiful! Maintenance is pretty quick. Ame in the leasing office is super helpful anytime I call.
