Eduardo in maintenance is wonderful. My air conditioning was not working and I put an order in at two in the morning. At 9 AM he was giving me a call asking me what the problem was. He was on the roof trying to fix it. A new unit needed to be ordered and within two days I had cool air in my house. Thank you Sir

Okay so here’s the HONEST breakdown:
Pros:
- Centrally Located in Las Vegas
- Google Nest Thermostat
- Most residents are friendly and talkative
- Area inside the gate is maintained
- Neighboring walls are insulated but not between you and the person above you.
- Maintenance does respond quickly when there’s an emergency
Cons:
- Move in is difficult since the gate entrance is so narrow
- My bike seat was stolen a week after I moved in
- Car alarms go off at all hours of the night because of the floor vibrating from traffic so you can barely get sleep
- I had to set up a Ring doorbell and pay a monthly subscription just so I could make sure my packages didn’t get stolen while gone for a few minutes.
- They allow homeless to loiter on the property and dig through the garbage cans leaving trash literally everywhere bc let’s face it… the bums aren’t going to clean up after themselves
- During the first summer month I got a balance put on my account for “Electricity” even though they advertise they pay ALL utilities. This is a lie, in the lease it states they only pay the first $100. In Vegas… during summer… on top of $1450 rent.
- The plumbing stinks and always having issues with needing to shut off the water with barely any notice for “emergency purposes”
- Laundry prices were recently raised from $1.50 for a load in the washer to $2 now & $1.75 to $2 for the dryer. This took place after I brought it to managements attention that the machines kept going “offline” or duplicating charges on my credit card because of their payment system.
- 9/10 you will find a washer or dryer broken or dirty with so much lint it could catch fire.
- HVAC system was not cleaned prior to move in
- Features like the smart door unlock mechanism only works for a few weeks before the 4 batteries it takes die.
- The answering service for after hour emergencies is unprofessional and rude when you need a simple thing done.
- Parking can get packed because there are multiple places in the area that attract people & FREE PARKING
- There’s a new office manager every 3 months, don’t know if this is turnover rate or a rotation but it’s not working
- Finally, the worst thing about this place is the fact that all your money is taken & you don’t see much improvement besides some leaf blowing every once in a while.

Beware before you rent with this property or any property of Signature Management as this is my second “home” I’ve had with this company and I had high hopes for this newer place but boy was it a mistake. I wish I could’ve let my previous lease expire and move on from this property management company.
——
Although I was not planning on renewing my 1 year lease, the office staff put a note on my door today saying at the end of my lease, “The Neon Apartments will not be providing you with an option to renew your lease.”
Ironically, after living here a year I’ve seen plenty of people stay beyond the year I’ve been here. I pay my rent before the due date. Seems a bit like retaliation to me but whatever. On to bigger and waaaaay better things.
Just be aware that if you rent with these people, they might intentionally terminate your lease by forcing you to switch to a month-to-month basis at the end of it with no options. (See attached photo)

The Neon is false advertisement.
They have claimed on their websites that they have on-site maintenance, but they don't and make you wait to a certain day to about a month to fix it. I had many issues with this place, the kitchen cabinets, bathroom, all the doors, the tub, etc.
The management at The Neon is disorganized, and very rude.
This place also tries to con you out of your money for the littlest things. Don't have a stable rent set. Ranges from $1000- $1500 or more. The Neon also claimed they wanted to add many amenities for example, a theater, art room, free washer dryer but didn't do what they promised.
You can actually rent somewhere better with more amenities, like a pool and gym, etc. In a honest way it's not worth living here and wasting that much money.
Pros: small outdoor activity, quiet neighbors.
Cons: bad management, false advertisment, loud construction without notice, never on time with maintenance, paying with your debit card to wash and dry, not many outdoor things to do.
By the time my lease was over I wasn't really able to enjoy the amenities.
