Thank you, Sara! I must say that Sara was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process of securing my home at St. Albans. She assisted me in choosing my amazing unit and even waited for me after the leasing office closed on Saturday to hand me my keys. She knew the office would be closed on Sunday and checked in with me to ensure I had my keys. I am truly grateful for the hospitality Sara displayed throughout the entire experience.

The amenities here are genuinely nice, and that’s honestly the most frustrating part about this experience. The pool, gym, and common areas all look great on paper, but it feels completely pointless when you come back to an apartment full of fruit flies every single day. The fruit fly problem in this building is out of control. The only way we’ve been able to somewhat manage it is by constantly covering drains and buying our own traps, sprays, and other products — none of which the leasing office reimburses us for. We know other people in the building personally who are dealing with the exact same issue, so this is clearly not isolated to one apartment. To be fair, the leasing office has brought exterminators several times, but unfortunately the situation has not improved at all. The problem keeps coming back and feels just as bad as before, which makes it seem like the root cause is not actually being addressed. It has gotten to the point where cooking is genuinely frustrating. Flies get into food while preparing meals, land in drinks, and constantly swarm around the kitchen. You can’t leave anything uncovered for more than a few seconds without worrying about flies getting into it. For the amount people pay to live here, residents should not have to spend extra money and energy trying to control a persistent pest problem on their own. Nice amenities don’t really matter when basic comfort inside the apartment itself is being affected every day.

When I was looking to move, I knew I didn’t want to renew my lease at my former apartment complex. I discovered St. Albans Lofts after exploring other properties across Downtown Raleigh, near Crabtree Valley Mall, and Cameron Village. After my tour with Emilie, I instantly knew this property was the one! From touring, to signing the lease, to moving in, the leasing office has helped make this transition smooth and truly made this place feel like home. Special shoutout to everyone in the leasing office, as well as the maintenance staff — they are all incredibly friendly and always happy to help. They truly go the extra mile! I haven’t attended one of their resident events yet, but they all sound super fun and well thought out. This place truly has its perks aside from the wonderful staff — a saltwater pool, gym with a sauna, dog park (an actual park, not just a tiny patch of mulch), and plenty of hosting and coworking spaces. The apartments themselves are also very nice. Since the community is newly built, you’ll likely be the first person in your unit. The build quality feels solid and includes a lot of premium touches throughout. Location is another huge plus. You’re within walking distance to most of North Hills, which is incredibly convenient. The complex is also centrally located — about 10 minutes to Downtown Raleigh, 12 minutes to the Lenovo Center and Fairgrounds, and around 20 minutes to the RDU Airport and RTP. If you’re considering moving to Raleigh or the North Hills area, I highly recommend living here!

Had a really great experience touring here, and Emilie made it even better. She was super easy to talk to and gave a really solid tour without it ever feeling rushed. The property is really nice, and the amenities actually feel thoughtful and useful. You can tell they’re designed to be used and enjoyed. They also have a good variety of floor plans depending on what you’re looking for. It felt really quiet overall, and the location is great.

While the onsite leasing office—specifically Alex—and the maintenance team are very nice and genuinely helpful, their hard work cannot compensate for the severe structural and quality issues inherent in this building. For a development that opened in mid-to-late 2025, the living experience is remarkably poor relative to the rent. Critical Issues: Noise: The neighboring construction is relentless. Drilling and heavy machinery noise begin early in the morning and continue through late afternoon, Monday through Saturday. This makes it impossible to sleep in or work from home effectively. While the noise is obvious during tours now, I was not notified of this project when I moved in, as it had not yet begun. HVAC: A significant health and cleanliness concern is the white drywall dust and paint particles that spray out of the vents whenever the AC or heater is engaged. I have attached photos showing debris physically stacked inside the ductwork. I want to thank the maintenance team for their hard work in trying to resolve this. Cracks: Despite being less than a year old, there are visible cracks throughout the building, particularly around the elevators. This raises serious concerns about the long-term integrity of the building (see attached photos). Fire Alarms and Power Outage: As others have noted, frequent, unwarranted fire alarms have become a recurring nuisance, further highlighting the lack of proper system testing and quality control during the building process. Furthermore, one would expect a new building to have reliable power infrastructure; however, I have already experienced a power outage within my first four months of residency. Minor issue: Even basic features like the trash chutes—which are designed for hands-free "wave-to-open" or "press-to-open" functionality—have never worked since move-in across all floors. It is clear that Kane Realty prioritized speed and profit over construction quality. I feel bad for the staff who have to manage these constant complaints, but I cannot recommend Saint Albans Lofts to anyone expecting a peaceful standard of living.
