So, just moved in here July 15th and it already has been very stressful. First off, we were not able to tour our townhome unit, or any other townhome unit for that matter, before signing our lease. But, we toured the apartments and we liked them a lot, so we decided to go ahead and sign for a townhome. On move in day Austin from the leasing office just handed me my key and let me go straight to my home without doing a walkthrough with me first. I thought that was interesting because on the list of things to do on move in day, walking through the unit with a leasing agent was one of the things to do. Anyways, I walk in all excited for my new home just to be hit with a horrible odor!! I get my mother over and we spend all day cleaning the unit, head to toe, thinking that might help with the odor. Nope! The next day I try deodorizing sprays, my wall plug ins, and cleaning again with bleach this time. But still, nothing is working. We get an ozone machine that helps to remove bad odors. Nope, that doesn’t work either. It’s now 3 days in and I go to the leasing office to let them know my unit reeks. They bring in an industrial sized air cleaning machine, left that running for about 2 days straight, but that didn’t work either. I go back to the leasing office and explain this to them. They’re now sayings they think it’s an air duct odor situation, so they get an outside company to come in and clean the air ducts in my unit. But, no that does not work either. At this point I go back to them and explain we highly believe it’s coming from the neighbors unit. They do a walkthrough of their unit, but not much they can do about the odor since it’s from them cooking food!! So, they tell me “Wednesday or Thursday this week we’ll come in and seal any leaks between you and your neighbors unit”. Okay… well they don’t show Wed or Thurs and come on Friday instead! I also asked them to fix the front door because it doesn’t shut properly unless it’s locked and the air from outside leaks in 24/7. Well, after this maintenance visit I was left with a dishwasher halfway hanging out the wall and it won’t start, and a front door that still doesn’t shut properly but just has a tad bit more of (poorly) put on weather stripping. I also have been buying deodorizing bombs to set off in the unit and deodorizing beads to keep in my closets so the clothes don’t reek, which is a lot of my own money wasted on this issue! If you noticed throughout this review how I kept mentioning I went to the leasing office to talk to the agents, it’s because calling them is a joke. They never answer the phones unless it’s your 5th time calling in one day. Just tried calling them before this because I needed to let them know about my now broken dishwasher, but of course they didn’t pick up! I’m just so frustrated because my hair stinks, my clothes stink, all my guests leave smelling bad, all due to an odor issue that should have been fixed BEFORE letting someone new move into this unit! Thanks Clarion Crossing for my horrible move in experience, can’t wait to see what the next 11 months with y’all brings for us!!

I was interested in renting here months ago, and they are STILL emailing me. I cannot get their stupid AI assistant to stop contacting me every week. Also, their apartments are too expensive for what they are. Rent can "range" by as much as $600 for the same unit which doesn't even include their random monthly fees.

My sister and I had a great experience with Whitney ("not the singer") but sings in her own way. She was patient, understanding, and so helpful. We are grateful to her, the staff, and the community and we are loving our new home.

I lived here one year and got out. The office staff and maintenance are nice and the only saving grace. I wish they were given a better property to work at because this one is horrible.
Roaches: Pest control sprayed every month for 13 months, even sprayed the entire building, yet, without fail, the roaches remained. Since the roaches prevailed after all of that, I assume they're just part of the building at this point. I would also find centipedes and crickets as well.
The noise: If you live downstairs, you will hear every footstep, every faucet, every conversation of your upstairs neighbors.
The Frat House: There are 3 frat homes adjacent to the apartments and they will blast music with heavy bass that can traverse your walls. They will play it any day of the week at any time. Multiple nights I could not sleep because of them. Cops do nothing, NC State does nothing, and the management does nothing. You simply have to suffer and accept at 2am on a Wednesday your apartment is gonna sound like a rave.
Foot traffic: Due to the location, many people that don't live at the apartment cross through the apartments to go through a hole in the fencing to walk to the food lion plaza. These people are SKETCHY. They litter, openly do drugs, and yell and scream as they pass by your front door.
Safety: I would definitely not feel safe here as a woman. I as a man got threatened by some homeless guy on the smoking area bench while I was coming home late from work. Between the homeless and immense amount of non residents walking around it doesn't feel safe to be outside.
Rent: Finally, after all that, they still want to raise the rent on you after your lease is up. So I left. You have to give a 60 day notice whick sucks but I got the deposit back no problem.
Honorable mentions: Pool is alright, gym is way too small to do anything. It's kind of just there to tack on more fees and rent. Mandatory trash valet is just stupid. Nobody likes that. I would happily walk my trash to the dumpster to save $30 a month if it was an option.
TLDR: Roaches, noisy, dangerous, but nice office staff.

Does not answer the phone. Uses stupid AI assistants that do not help with service. Will wait until you're about to move out before they fix things that you've been begging for like doors and windows that constantly leak air and cause the electric bill to skyrocket. I'm currently waiting for them to turn on my water, which they said would be on by no later than 6 pm (it's after 8 pm as I type this).
