  I would never recommend anyone stay here. I have been trying to move apartments and this complex and leasing office just does not give a damn. I called in May June and July trying to switch, in July I was told I’d have to pay around 300 which I have zero issue with just to ignore me and my calls and emails m, THEN proceeding to send out a letter telling ppl they can transfer if they post the fee …while not responding to my request about changing apartments andI actually had MORE than enough money. Never responded to my issues with my roommates, power still randomly turning off, picking and choosing what emails to respond too, throwing ppl in together as roommates because we have both foreign names, I hate it here. I’d rather slit my wrist then renew for this apartment complex. The renewal deal is not worth it and will never be DO NOT STAY HERE just be homeless.

  I normally don’t write reviews, but after living here, I feel like future residents should know what they’re getting into before signing a lease. Honestly, this place doesn’t even deserve the 1 star. First, the move-in and payment schedule makes no sense. move-in day for everyone was in mid-August, literally a day before school started, but still had a large installment due before even moving in. When I toured, I was told utilities were covered in the base rent, from internet to water to electricity. That has not been my experience. It feels like every couple of weeks there’s another random charge on my account that was never clearly explained. Might as well charge us for breathing at this point. Even the electric billing is confusing, with estimates and separate charges covering overlapping dates without clearly showing how they are adjusted. The apartment also wasn’t properly cleaned before move-in. There was dirt everywhere, broken blinds in my room, and the flooring feels extremely cheap. worse than a garage. For what we pay, I expected the apartment to at least be clean and ready. I also recently found a parking charge on my account that I wasn’t expecting. The first page of the lease lists recurring, upfront, and one-time charges, so I relied on that when figuring out my costs. Finding additional charges later makes it hard to know what I’m actually going to pay. The community itself is also extremely loud. People are regularly yelling, and there is a weed smell almost every day, despite this being advertised as a non-smoking property and the lease having a non-smoking policy. I understand this is student housing, but there’s a difference between normal student housing noise and constantly dealing with yelling and weed smell. The package system is a mess too. I paid extra for fast delivery on a package, only to wait another 4–5 days to actually receive it from management. I was told I’d get a text when it was ready, and somehow the text came right after I emailed asking about it. I went to the office three times over the same issue. One time I even called beforehand and was told they had a package under my name, only to get there and find out they were looking at an old package. Communication overall is terrible. Emails and requests can take forever to get a response, and somehow important move-in information has been going to my parents’ email instead of mine, even though I’m the one living here. Charging $50 communication fee for god knows who/what. Roommate matching hasn’t been great either, and I wasn’t given basic information about a new roommate beforehand. The trash area can also be disgusting, and I’ve seen huge rodents around it. It’s not just one problem, it’s everything adding up: confusing charges, poor communication, package issues, cleanliness, noise, smoking, roommate matching, and constantly having to follow up to get basic things resolved. If you’re considering living here, read every page of the lease, get every possible fee in writing, ask exactly how utilities are calculated, and document everything at move-in. If I knew I’d be dealing with all of this, I would not have signed here. 🙃

  Oh puhleasee. Y’all got me messed up and now I’m really finna put y’all on blast. If no mold was found then what is this? Don’t reply to my review if you gon get on here and lie. Y’all are disgusting and you (The Owner) ought to be ashamed of yourself for taking peoples money when you know the apartments are raggedy. Yes following the reported leak, y’all brought in the worst vendor to extract the water because he didn’t even do his job right and I hope y’all replaced the carpet like y’all said y’all were, but if y’all lied about how the apartments looked then y’all lied about that. Now you want to go over the charges when you all should have been clarified the charges. You don’t complete a walkthrough after one has already been done without the tenants there because we don’t know what charges are what. My mom has emailed you guys wanting an explanation but you said you didn’t have to explain. I’ll be waiting on an email back while I continue to warn everyone about y’all!!!

  First off, The Vic is a terrible environment to live in. Do NOT recommend!!!! When me and my sister first moved here in August, the apartment hadn’t been cleaned out properly, we planned to clean anyways but the point is that they could have at least had the decency to clean from the previous tenants. We had issues with our front door not locking and that is dangerous. Also, the way the door was, it allowed bugs and cold air to come in and a weather strip had to be put on. They put black paint over everything to cover up their nastiness. The washer and dryer kept messing up on us and maintenance would always have to come out until they eventually replaced it. The ac unit had leaked and there was water coming up through the carpet and we had to put in an emergency request because it was like walking through rain puddles and it took them 4 days to fix it. My mom had to contact corporate for something to actually be done. After everything was supposedly fixed, we noticed a smell coming through the closet and we were trying to figure out what it was, come to figure out mold had created from the ac unit leak and I have a 6 month old baby. I also got tired of seeing bugs EVERY SINGLE DAY. There was not a day that we didn’t see bugs in our apartment. The apartment also has a terrible ventilation system, you can literally smell everything from other apartments. When we finally moved out, they tried to charge us for random stuff. Please, please look at the other reviews before you sign your lease. They show you a nice, model apartment to reel people in when they should really be showing the actual place you’ll be moving into. Also, don’t believe the pool advertisement. They don’t even upkeep their pool, so you’ll pretty much only have the gym and the little dance room they have. Stay away from the Vic, especially college students, they know how to get you.
