Carl is on top of the work orders, I’ll put one in and it’s fixed the same day everytime… amazing service.

Been here over 4 years and only ever had 1 major issue with a burst pipe in our bathroom due to old plumbing (to be expected) but overall Holly, and her team including Carl from maintenance are the best. Very understanding, kind, and it’s obvious they care about the tenants experience! Thank you for the last 4+ years and hopefully plenty more to go!

The office staff and maintenance team are grea they’ve always been friendly and responsive. Unfortunately, the biggest issue with this property is the roaches.
I’ve lived here for an entire year, and they are everywhere. There are dead roaches / water bugs in the parking lot, and at night there are so many crawling around the bushes and near my front door that I sometimes avoid going outside after dark. I even have to place towels along the bottom of my door because they somehow still try to get inside.
The complex is in a generally safe neighborhood, although there have been occasional car break ins by people from outside the community. Even so, the roach problem has been my biggest concern. It’s gotten to the point where I didn’t even want to put furniture in my living room or invite guests over because I was embarrassed by the infestation.
The property has been sprayed multiple times, and I’ve tried everything I can on my own, but nothing has made a difference. The roaches just won’t go away. Because of this ongoing issue, I don’t feel the apartment is worth the current rent. In my opinion, it would be more appropriately priced around $800–$900 per month unless the pest problem is permanently resolved.

Update: 8/5- so they let me out of my 6 month lease for $2700 and then I still had to pay August’s rent because the renters they supposedly had couldn’t move in until September. So I’m back on the hook for the whole $1396 that they advised me about TODAY!!!! If I didn’t pay TODAY they were going to charge me a late fee of 5%! YOU JUST LET ME KNOW TODAY! SLUMLORDS AT THEIR BEST!! This place is an absolute dump. Walk away matter of fact, run away. I made the mistake of signing a 6- month lease online prior to seeing the unit and it was the biggest mistake of my life. I am now on the hook for 6 months of rent, jobless and homeless. The company I worked for even wrote them a letter. I even offered to pay 2 months rent just to let me out of the lease after I gave them a 60 day written notice. Read the fine print people. This company, they are crooks and don’t take care of the property. The first thing I saw when I opened the door was a cockroach and then the unit is just falling apart. I love how they paint over things. My cat was terrified! I did not feel safe. I was not offered another unit and I wouldn’t stay there honestly even if they offered to clean the carpet, have it sprayed for bugs or made the necessary repairs. It is in the worst section of Elizabeth City. The online pictures are lies!!!!
