  DECEPTIVE PRACTICE Chapel Tower sent me physical and digital communications saying I had until April 15 to decide if I will renew my lease. What they did not mention in these communications is that there is an earlier date, March 22nd, that I have to provide notice to not renew my lease. By sending me notices about one date and not the other, I believed I had until April 15th to let them know about not renewing. Despite talking with Managment about this deception, Chapel Tower still forced me to extend my lease for 9 days resulting in an added expense of about $400. I was moved out by that time so it was a complete waste of money. Although the March 22nd deadline is listed in the 44 page lease document, the communications from them gave me the impression I had until April 15 to decide I want to renew. As a graduate student at Duke, this $400 hit especially hard. I have heard of others falling for this exact deception at Chapel Tower. The Managment staff is rude. The one staff member who was nice to me was Leidy, and it was uncomfortable to hear her boss yell at her while I was in the Admin office. I don’t know what that guy’s problem is but he should not be speaking to his staff like that. Additionally, I was swimming laps alone in the pool and unclipped one side of the buoy line because it separated the pool in half. Instead of calmly informing me this was not allowed, a member of staff chastised me like a child and certainly did not talk to me as a paying tenant. Finally, the washer and dryer was not in operation by the time I moved in, which was inconvenient for my first day of class. Although it is in good proximity to the Duke campus, I would not recommend renting from Chapel Tower.

  The team at Chapel Tower was truly friendly and helpful. Since it was close to the school, I came to Chapel Tower first, and after speaking with the team, I felt there was no need to look anywhere else. I especially want to thank Tinu, who was incredibly helpful and such a wonderful person. She supported me tremendously, not only with housing but also with anything else I found challenging. I’m especially grateful to her for all her help and support. She was incredibly patient and supportive throughout the whole process.

  If I could give a place 10 stars I would. Especially to the sweet woman who helped me, Maria. As a college student whose college doesn’t house the number of students they accept, every year I have to look for an apartment. This happened to be the lucky one I found. Maria has helped in every way, to showing me tours of each apartment, answering my questions, to helping me get the keys to my apartment. She’s very sweet, kind, and very caring about her tenants. If you have a problem or a question—Maria probably has an answer to it. As for the apartments, they’re VERY nice; imo. Very affordable especially with having to go to school and having a part time. They have a nice pool, a gym, grills, and a park for your children. They have it all at chapel tower! I hope this was very informative and helpful.

  This apartment complex is a gem. My son just moved into his first apartment. It has very useful amenities (in-unit W/Ds, good kitchen appliances), lots of space for the money, including plenty of closet space. The pool/weight room are lovely additional features. The staff are incredibly helpful. The few (minor) concerns we had were fixed within 2 days without our even noticing (we must have been at the store). I'm so happy with everything and glad our son will be in good hands.

  I have had an amazing experience living here so far, and a huge part of that is thanks to Maria and Lesly. From the very first tour through the entire application and move-in process, they were absolute professionals. They answered all my questions quickly, kept me updated on every step, and welcomed me with such a kind and friendly attitude. Moving can be very stressful, but Maria and Lesly made it smooth and easy. If you are thinking about moving here, you will be in great hands with them.
