The first time I came in to view the property initially no one was there. Despite having an appt. Drove an hr for my time to be wasted. The door was unlocked, but no one in sight and within office hours.
I scheduled another appt a day in advance. Called to confirm someone would be there. It was confirmed so I headed out for the hr long drive again.
I arrive and the tour was going well. I ask if the short term leases had any additional fees not shown on the site. Josh tells me they don’t offer any short term leases despite it being on the website. I inform him it’s on the website under apply. He tells me he will check with someone to see if they can honor it. And will contact me to let me know. I thank him and leave.
Sent him a follow up email the next day. The email was sent to his work email on the card he gave me. Only to be ignored. I followed up through the website the day after and even called a few days after. No response, no vm, nothing. I don’t think it’s that hard to say yes or no. A week later and still nothing.
If there are no short term leases allowed don’t have it on your website. Terrible communication!
Zora University is a wonderful community! It’s quiet, safe, beautifully maintained and very spacious! There are a few places in the city of Charlotte that are like this. We have two little dogs, so the fenced in yard is just perfect. I want to give a huge shout out to the community manager, Josh, who has been absolutely wonderful and accommodating.
Thank you so much for everything!

This neighborhood is awesome, and has especially gotten better ever since Josh has been managing the property. 1 & 2 bedroom units are available with each having their own backyard with a privacy fence. There is a gym & pool with a grill area. There are always parking spots available and there are also garages available for an additional fee. If you are thinking about moving here you can’t go wrong. Overall it’s a very cute, clean and still fairly brand new community.
The backyards are nice but they charge an extra $175 for landscaping and the landscapers don’t even come 6 months of the year…but we still have to pay the landscaping fee during those months. There have been reported car break ins and attempted home break ins. In the summer time people throw parties at the pool and are very loud, even if you rent a unit no where near the pool you can still hear it. Despite these issues the leasing staff and maintenance do a good job.

This neighborhood is such a great find. It’s close to University, yet tucked away on a quiet street. Each unit has a private, fenced yard that’s the perfect size for kids or pets. The neighbors I’ve met are kind and respectful, and everyone keeps to themselves.
What really makes this property stand out, though, is the staff. Don’t let older reviews discourage you. Management has changed since I first moved in in 2025, and some of those reviews reflect a different team. The current property manager, Josh, and maintenance technician, David, are incredibly prompt and genuinely go out of their way to help. The property is very clean and well cared for (even the dumpster area!), which shows how much pride they take in maintaining it.
Highly recommend!
