This establishment needs new management. The way they're operating for future residents is the worse experience I've had with ANY establishment in the city of Charlotte.
Whomever is running the box outside of the leasing office remotely, that position needs to be removed permanently. It's a waste of money for the entire company as she could not give ANY answers to any questions. She was not on site. She could not get into contact with anyone on site. The icing on the cake was her getting an attitude with me when I'm the one standing in the middle of the heat with my six year old child trying to spend money at this complex that treated me like a stray animal while she's sitting behind a computer screen in good air conditioning inside of her own unit comfortably.
I called ahead of time since we were out of town, out of state, at least two to three hours away depending on traffic. I was told to be at the leasing office at a specific time, that I would have the opportunity to tour a two bedroom unit. This was conducted by another woman, not the pointless one from the box at the front of the leasing office but I didn't catch her name unfortunately. We left our original plans and got there early, ready to not only view the unit but I was planning to go with them and apply and possibly to pay whatever cost it would be to move in today if I could get my application results back in a good timeframe. I truly came ready and prepared to spend some money today and was treated so poorly.
We tried to enter the leasing office and the doors were locked. No biggie, we just followed the instructions on the keypad outside the office. From there is where our experience went downhill very fast. The lady that talked with us through this little box was not even on the property and definitely not who I originally spoke to over the phone. She could not give any answers to ANY questions.
She instructed for us (me and my six year old) to stand out in the heat, that we could not come in at all, but could not confirm whether anybody was on site at all. To instruct your future residents to stand in the heat like that with no answers after your establishment insisted that I come up to view a unit insisting that it would be a good fit for us is ridiculous. I'll never forget this extremely poor customer service, the lack of effort, the disrespectful attitude that was given, and the LIES that were told by this complex where they convinced me to drive two hours outside of my original plans only for us to walk away with time wasted.
I would advise anyone looking to apply here to pay attention to these reviews. I thought they were just people in their feelings but no it's not that at all. They're telling the truth about this place. The parking is another issue. There is a garage but there is no visitor parking unless it's on the gravel across the street. There are no future resident parking spaces either for those coming to just apply. There is an alley way to drive to get to the garage but it was so packed with people moving out we couldn't get through successfully. Again, this is a management problem that should be addressed with the owner. If future residents can't even find a place to park you're missing out on money literally.
Luckily when we left other people in the area seen the trouble I was facing and that I was upset and suggested any other the other complexes around the Collective that I would have a way better experience so we did that instead just so we wouldn't keep wasting time at the Collective. We ended up at another apartment complex literally right down the road that allowed us to come inside with no problem. She showed us a unit which was beautiful, she did an amazing job with our tour. Very detailed and even gave some other options of other complexes in the area as well, which was appreciated. When we got there she was already on a tour but allowed for us to come inside out of the heat and wait for her unlike the Collective who forced us to stand outside in the heat like we were some animals literally. I hate this place.

Honestly, the pool does not open on time, every year, because there is something keeping the pool from passing initial inspections every single year, so it’s closed into July and the Collective does absolutely nothing to accommodate the fact that one of our luxury amenities is not functioning. It’s honestly outrageous and pathetic that they don’t fix this recurring issue. If you’re someone who enjoys utilizing a pool at your apartment complex, I would never recommend the Collective.
Ignore every good review as that is what they ask of you to grant you a move in special.

I recently toured The Collective NoDa and had a great experience. Samantha was very kind, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions.
I also really liked the studio layout. The divider wall adds a little privacy between the living and sleeping areas, which makes the space feel more functional than a typical studio.

Recently applied to live here due to the location and suggestions. Have had a very easy time going through with the entire process and ease with the leasing office. Looking forward to moving in.

We are relocating from our of state and our Aunt has been helping us find the perfect complex to move into. We found the Collective on Zillow, reached out, and did a virtual tour. The leasing office ladies - Samantha and Delise - have been so helpful in the entire process. We’ve been so excited about this place since day 1 and cannot wait to make it our new home!
