I lived at Pointe at Prosperity Village for two years, and honestly, the location is the only reason I stayed as long as I did. By the end of my lease, even the convenience of the location was not worth the headache of dealing with management.
In two years, I dealt with issue after issue that became unnecessarily difficult because of poor communication and a lack of organization. I had an air-conditioning issue that went on for more than six months and resulted in over 17 maintenance requests. At one point, I had four outlets in my apartment that were not working and was essentially told I would just have to live with it.
Communication between management, maintenance and residents was consistently frustrating. There were times when management apparently had an issue with something I was doing but, rather than simply communicating with me directly, maintenance was sent to relay the message. I was also given conflicting information by different people on multiple occasions. Even employees themselves expressed frustration to me about internal communication from management. After two years, it became very clear that the office was simply extremely disorganized.
I’ve also had interactions where I was yelled at by staff and others where the way I was spoken to felt unnecessarily confrontational and bullying. It got to the point that I was uncomfortable going into the front office and would avoid it during working hours whenever possible. Residents should not feel uncomfortable approaching the management office of a community they pay to live in.
Unfortunately, the communication problems followed me all the way through move-out. I was assessed charges after following instructions I had been given by maintenance. Management later acknowledged that there had been a communication issue, but I was still left responsible for the charge. It was a fitting end to what had been two years of repeatedly dealing with the same problem.
I also watched numerous front-office and maintenance employees come and go during the two years I lived there. I can’t speak to why individual employees left, but the turnover was noticeable and certainly didn’t help with the already inconsistent communication.
There are things I liked about the community itself, but the location is not worth the stress of dealing with the management office. After two years of repeated communication problems, unresolved or unnecessarily prolonged maintenance issues, uncomfortable interactions with staff, and finally the move-out charge situation, I was more than ready to leave. I would not choose to live here again.

**Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Move-Out Charges and Management Conduct**
It’s extremely disappointing that my experience with this property ended so differently from how it began. When I moved in, the staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, during my move-out process, I felt dismissed, disrespected, and treated as though my legitimate questions were an inconvenience.
After reviewing my final account, I went to the office in person because I wanted clarification on several charges rather than continuing to call and receive incomplete answers.
My first concern was the **$70 carpet-cleaning fee**. I lived there for one year, had no pets or children, used rugs in the carpeted areas, and left the apartment clean with no stains. I have lived in multiple apartments across three states and have never been charged this type of fee. I understand normal turnover and cleaning, but I question why I am responsible for professional carpet cleaning when there was no damage or excessive staining.
I also questioned the **$100 month-to-month fee**. My lease ended August 22, and I acknowledge that I was 11 days short of the required 60-day notice. After submitting my notice, I received an email thanking me and requesting my forwarding address. I was later told my lease would extend through September 1 and that the days after August 22 would be charged at the month-to-month rate. I asked via email if I could remain at my regular rate due to unforeseen circumstances but received no response.
I was then charged my regular August rent plus one day of September rent, which led me to believe the matter had been handled. I was surprised to see the additional $100 month-to-month fee on my final statement. When I previously called to ask what final charges I should expect, I was told the leasing representative did not know. I was also told the **$2.58 late fee could potentially be waived**, yet when I raised this with Crystal, I was told I should know what I owed. My concern has never been about $2.58—it is about the lack of clear communication and consistency.
I was also told during my interaction with Crystal that my move-out notice had not initially been entered into the system by the property staff. I had already submitted the notice, so it is extremely frustrating to be held responsible for administrative issues that were not within my control.
Most concerning was how I was treated when I raised these concerns. Crystal's tone and demeanor were condescending and dismissive. I was seated and did not threaten or touch anyone. I was frustrated, and while a word or two may have slipped out, I did not behave in a threatening manner. Despite this, I was told to leave and was asked, **“Do I need to call the police?”** I found that response completely disproportionate and intimidating.
As a Black resident, I also cannot ignore the fact that this interaction left me questioning whether racial bias played a role in how I was treated. I am not claiming to know her intent, but I believe the way the situation was handled warrants serious consideration.
I have already contacted corporate and left a voicemail but have not received a response.
I am requesting a **formal review** of the carpet-cleaning fee, month-to-month charge, late fee, communication regarding my move-out notice, and my interaction with the Property Manager. I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking for **transparency, accountability, and fair treatment**.
It is unfortunate that what began as a positive experience ended with me feeling disrespected and unheard. I expect a response from corporate addressing these concerns and explaining how these charges and the situation were handled.

DO NOT move here unless you want to live in what feels like the absolute ghetto while paying luxury prices.
Your car will get BROKEN INTO, and you’ll be FORCED to pay an additional fee for a garage. When you report it, the office staff will casually tell you that it happens all the time.
You will most likely see people being CHASED BY POLICE OFFICERS right outside your door. There have also been serious domestic-violence incidents involving someone in the building, which makes the environment feel extremely unsafe.
The office staff is EXTREMELY unprofessional. They will HARASS you, come knocking on your door, RECORD you, and attempt to threaten you with eviction. You’ll find yourself having to contact CORPORATE almost daily just to get issues resolved.
You may also witness the office manager throwing TVs and personal belongings off her balcony, leaving dog poop on her balcony, and other inappropriate behavior that you would not expect from someone managing a property.
And good luck finding a parking spot. You basically need NASCAR-level driving skills because your car is almost guaranteed to get door-dinged. :)
Overall, this place charges LUXURY prices while providing an experience that is anything but luxurious. I strongly recommend doing your research and reading the reviews carefully before signing a lease.
I WISH I COULD UPLOAD VIDEOS OF PROPERTY MANAGEMENT AT MY DOOR!

Our AC breaks frequently and takes days to get fixed.
We were charged a late fee because their payment portal software had errors. Nothing we can control, but we get charged for it anyway.
