  I visited Highland Mill Lofts today because I was interested in touring an apartment. I understand that I did not have a scheduled appointment and that the leasing office may have been busy. However, I was disappointed with how the situation was handled. From the moment I arrived, I felt unwelcome. The leasing consultant’s facial expressions, body language, and tone made me feel as though I was an inconvenience rather than a prospective resident. I was completing the online registration for a tour and asked whether there was Wi-Fi available because I was having trouble with my internet connection. Instead of offering another solution, such as asking me to wait, giving me an estimated time, suggesting I return later, or seeing whether another team member could assist me, I felt dismissed and was asked to leave while she helped someone else. I completely understand that appointments are important and that staff members can be busy. My concern is not that I had to wait, but that there seemed to be no effort to make me feel welcome or offer any reasonable alternative. A little kindness and communication would have made a significant difference. I wanted to share this feedback because first impressions matter when someone is deciding where to live. Unfortunately, this experience left me with a very negative impression of the community.

  I had such a wonderful experience touring the Highland Mills community. The property itself was beautiful and well-maintained, but what truly stood out was the property manager. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the charming property, it’s fascinating place in Charlotte’s history, and everything the community has to offer. She answered all of my leasing questions thoroughly and thoughtfully, which made the entire process feel easy and comfortable. Beyond her professionalism and expertise, she was also warm, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. It’s clear she takes pride in the community and cares about making prospective residents feel informed and valued. Her combination of knowledge, professionalism, and kindness made a lasting impression. I would highly recommend Highland Mills Lofts to anyone looking for a great place to call home.
