  I would not recommend living here unless you’re signing a lease with roommates you already know and trust. My experience at this apartment has been incredibly frustrating. I was matched with a roommate who intentionally created an unsafe and uncomfortable living environment. Food was deliberately thrown around the apartment, common areas were repeatedly left in terrible condition, and the living room furniture was damaged and rearranged to the point that it blocked access through the shared space. It wasn’t just me who had concerns my other roommates also had ongoing issues with this same individual. Instead of addressing the person who was causing the problems, management’s solution was to offer the rest of us transfers that would have cost more than what we were already paying. They were unwilling to move us without increasing our rent, even though we weren’t the ones creating the issue. I even tried filing a police report because of how serious the situation became. I repeatedly emailed the leasing office about the damaged furniture and the condition of the apartment, but my emails were largely ignored, and I had to continuously follow up just to get any response or have the furniture addressed. Throughout all of this, I was still expected to pay full rent while living in an apartment where the shared spaces were unusable. There were times when I couldn’t even prepare a meal because there was no clean or usable counter space in the kitchen due to the condition of the common area. Residents should be able to expect management to enforce the lease, address serious roommate issues promptly, and protect the people who are following the rules not leave them paying more to escape a situation they didn’t create. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this apartment. If you decide to live here, I strongly suggest only doing so if you’re bringing your own roommates rather than relying on roommate matching

  I had an amazing experience finding my very first apartment here! The entire staff was great, but I want to give a special shoutout to Abby and Hailee. Abby toured us around the property, showed us the room, and answered every single question we had with total professionalism. Hailee, who I spoke with on the phone multiple times, was incredibly helpful and always had such an amazing, welcoming tone. They both made my first time renting experience completely stress free. Happy to say this was a 10/10, uncomplicated process!

  I have lived at Arcadia for the past year and here is my honest review: PROS: Maintenance: Super nice and always do a good job. They take excellent care of the property. One time I was walking to take out my trash and the guy on the golf cart offered to take it for me. Landscaping: The landscape in this apartment complex is so pretty, I love sitting on my balcony and hearing the trees sway. I also have a bird house and have had multiple different birds come to visit, very peaceful. Apartment: I really like my 3 bedroom floor plan and the large bedrooms. The furniture was nice too. CONS: NO LONGER STUDENT-LIVING!: Arcadia informed us just a few months into our lease that they would be allowing non-students to live in the complex. This was really unfair and disappointing, as I have seen the affects it has had on the complex. I no longer go to the pool because there are children running and screaming, and spraying their water guns. A family near me was having a party or something and had way too many guests over that don't even live here. Then they all came outside and had a brawl and were fighting and screaming. I was genuinely scared, security came and "settled it" but i'm not sure what all was settled. Letting non-students live here is a really big mistake, and will be the downfall of this complex. Security: They have security that drives around sometimes, but I don't always see them. But as for the complex, anyone can get in. There is a gate between Arcadia and the other complex that always stays open. The main entrance gate anyone can just tailgate you in. They know they can fix it, there used to be a handle that goes down when one car drives through. So why have they not fixed it? It doesn't seem to concern them. Visitor spots: I'm aware that this complex has a good amount of visitor spots. With that being said, they have two trailers that have been sitting their all year blocking a large portion of the spots. Also, a wrecked car sat in a visitor spots for months. They need to have better rules about these spots, or make more. It's unfair that my friend from out of state can't stay the night because someone's car has been parked their for months wrecked. Overall, living here has been decent. I would just take into consideration the fact that it is not student living anymore, when thinking of moving here. The office staff is nice, and I never had any issues getting my mail. I won't be living here again, but weigh your options.

  Arcadia has been such a great place to live. And the people working at the front desk respond so quick and are always helpful. Like one named Sara Friskey. There hasn’t been a day where I needed help that they didn’t immediately care for me!

  I am writing to report an incident that occurred at the apartment pool involving one of the attendants. My brother is a resident of the community and attends UNC Charlotte. We were both wearing resident wristbands and were complying with the pool rules. However, the attendant (a light-skinned woman with braids and glasses) approached us and demanded proof of residency. What was concerning is that there were many other people at the pool, yet we were the only individuals asked to provide proof. We were also the only people of color present at the time. This made us feel singled out and unfairly targeted. In addition to being questioned, the attendant's attitude was rude and unprofessional throughout the interaction. Residents and their guests should be treated respectfully and consistently, regardless of their race or appearance. I would appreciate it if management could review this incident and ensure that all residents and guests are treated fairly and that policies are enforced equally for everyone. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
