  Arcadia has been a great experience for me as a student who lives hours away from Charlotte. The front office is very helpful and always make sure things get done in a timely manner. The community as a whole is very safe and everyone is friendly. I just really enjoy living here!

  Horrible apartment complex. NEVER LIVE HERE. The apartment was dirty and worn down when I moved in. Lazy cleaning and paint splattered all over the floor. Roommate match system does not work at all, if you're stuck with randoms you're just screwed. I tried to use the roommate match app, but the app simply did not work. I was assigned to randoms at the beginning, but then i got put with 2 completely different people when I moved in. I had to live with 5 different roommates within 9 months, in an apartment only meant for 3 people. All of which weren't even students, and I was never told prior when they were going to move in. They would just move in on some random day without me ever being informed. One of them got evicted and a sheriff had to come close the room off, and the apartment complex wouldn't tell me why he was evicted. If you're looking for an apartment complex that's safe, never consider Arcadia. I found out on my first day that someone was shot and killed on the complex a year ago by someone who wasn't even living in the complex. People who don't live in the complex throw pool parties. The gate is supposed to be there for "safety," yet you can just walk or drive through behind someone at any time. If you don't have a gate key, you HAVE to drive behind someone to get your car in. The gate machine to put in your code doesn't work at all. The people that work here are outright dumb and extremely impolite. They will walk into your unit 1 second after knocking, and walk into your room without knocking. Someone from the apartment complex walked into my room without me ever knowing, and that wasn't even the room she was supposed to be in, yet the rooms are labeled. I was half naked, and I expected a right to privacy yet it seems I don't have that here. If you have a question or concern, you HAVE to walk down the the leasing office. Calling the office puts you on an AI answering machine that does not work, and you can't request for a real person, and emailing takes 2 weeks to get a response. Here are some miscellaneous complaints: -Our dryer broke plenty of times. -Dishwasher just never cleaned dishes -Units have barely any cabinet space and no pantry, the layouts are horrible. -Dumpster often overflows due to trash not being taken out as often as it should. -Speedbumps on the complex are a nightmare, the worst I've ever seen. -Each bedroom has its own heating cooling, but it has to match the other rooms. It might as well just be one system for the whole apartment. -The gym is only open when the leasing office is open. If you want to use the gym early in the morning, too bad. -Walls are paper thin and poorly insulated, you can hear everything just from your bedroom. -Closets are attached to the bathroom, so when you shower steam goes into the closet and mold grows. -Maintenance would take days to respond. -The complex CONSTANTLY bothers you to renew your lease. Emails, text messages, flyers, its everywhere. -All of this on top of rates constantly increasing is just horrible. The only thing Arcadia does well is making itself look good from the outside. Had a very pleasant experience touring the place, just to immediately be disappointed when I got to my unit. Please, if you have any questions about Arcadia I will give you a straight up answer, and won't sugarcoat it unlike the greedy workers at the leasing office.

  They tried to scam me out of paying for the carpet replacement in my room. Charged $400 for a small faint stain and a carpet rip that was there before I moved in (I have proof). I disputed it and they still sent it to collections. Also, someone was stabbed to death and another crazed person was drugged out in the grass yelling at cops in the middle of the night while I lived here!

  I’d want to live here if I was a student! This place is tucked away surrounded by trees and the aesthetic of inside is a cozy cabin vibe. Leasing team is super friendly and will make sure you have everything you need!

  If I could give 0 stars I would. Two AC's were broken for a month during the heat wave. We have replaced our drying machine twice under one contract on top of the drying machine needing 3 full cycles to dry a small load of clothes. Wifi will also stop working for a week in the middle of the semester. If you are taking the shuttle to campus be wary of it being 20 mins late or also leaving before the scheduled time and having to wait another 30 minutes for the next one. Unit was given to us unvacuumed and I am still findind items from last tenants in the apartment. Not a single soul cleans up their dog poop or well those that do aren't noticeable by the sheer amount of landmines all over the apartment complex. Great feeling walking out to 90 degree humid weather and the whole complex smelling like dog dookie everywhere you go. Every response to a complaint is a cookie cutter fill in the blank response.
