I lived here for four years. This is one of the nastiest two faced property management companies ive ever witnessed. And I used to live in Oakland. I have seen multiple neighbors here get evicted within a month of move in due to racism, petty rules and over stepping property managers treating residents like they are children. This place is nasty and the property management company should do time in prison. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE.

I am highly disappointed in the move out process at The District. I was charged for unreasonable damages I did not cause. I provided move-out photos and a video showing the appliances in good condition, but the charges were still upheld. I was charged $115 for a small crack on the oven handle and $230 for the top of the microwave door being loose. Two things so minor, I never noticed while living there. If you decide to sign a lease with the District, be sure to thoroughly document the condition of your apartment at both move-in and move-out, and report even minor maintenance issues so there's a record.

Sent to collections over an application fee that failed to process on their end, after being told my background check didn’t go through I couldn’t risk waiting for them and applied and quickly found another place to live. They called me at one point about a month later to tell me that they actually COULD approve me and I let them know I had found someplace else already. Just checked my spam folder to see my credit score took a hit and debt collectors are asking me for 360 dollars. Thanks a lot. Really must be scraping the bottom of the barrel to milk money out of people if you are pulling this kind of scam.

they use leaf blowers to start landscaping at 6:30 AM, no exaggeration *Edit after response: It wasn’t landscaping staff, it was maintenance. using a leaf blower directly outside my window to blow mulch around. not from a neighboring community, there aren’t even really neighboring communities around that you would hear that from, but anyway..
