I am extremely disappointed with my experience living at Ascot Point Village. Throughout my lease, I have dealt with ongoing excessive noise, unresolved maintenance issues, property damage, poor communication, and a complete lack of support from management. For months, the noise coming from the apartment above me has affected my sleep, my ability to rest, and my peace inside my own home. I reported the problem to the leasing office numerous times, called repeatedly, sent messages, and even spoke directly with the neighbor in an attempt to resolve the situation respectfully. The leasing office then instructed me to contact the police, so I followed their instructions and received a police incident number. Even after doing everything management told me to do, the problem remains unresolved. I was also told to contact the regional manager, but my calls and emails have gone unanswered. Every attempt to get help turns into the same circle: the leasing office sends me to the police, the police explain that management must address the issue, and management sends me to a regional manager who does not respond. In addition to the ongoing noise, I have submitted requests concerning repairs and damage in my apartment that have not been properly addressed or completed within a reasonable amount of time. I will be attaching photos showing some of these damages. Phone calls frequently go unanswered, messages are not returned, and there is little to no meaningful follow-up. Residents are expected to pay rent on time and comply with every requirement of the lease, but management does not appear to hold itself to the same standard when it comes to communication, maintenance, accountability, or providing residents with a peaceful place to live. You pay to have a home, but at what cost? In my case, it has come at the cost of my peace, sleep, comfort, and emotional well-being. A home should be a place where someone can feel safe and rest after work, not a constant source of stress and frustration. At this point, I am simply waiting for my lease to end because I no longer want to live here. I am sharing this review honestly so that future residents understand the experience they may face and so that the company is aware of how resident complaints are being handled. Paying rent should not mean having to repeatedly beg for basic communication, necessary repairs, accountability, and peace inside your own home.
It's cheap for Asheville but it's obvious why. Lived here for over a year and can't wait to leave. The office refuses to answer the phone, and won't return messages. The trash compactor is not picked up often enough, sometimes even a second dumpster can't handle it all, but somehow it's residents fault for always having too much trash. The pool will be closed regularly with no warning or emails. The tiny gym and movie theater are locked and unusable outside of office hours. The parking situation is crowded and terrible, you have to park two buildings away to find an open spot. Would not recommend a family move here, as it is not a safe community. Gunshots, cars being broken into, stolen property and fights mean police cars can be seen regularly. Our "newly" renovated apartment had literally an essay/page worth of issues (such as massive holes in the wall around light fixtures, entire glass door needing to be replaced, shower rods falling down, etc) that took months to have fixed. The maintenance team won't do routine work like filter replacements but they're nice when they respond to a service request. Leave the place in perfect condition and you'll still be lucky to get any of the deposit back. Poor management and greedy corporate ownership equals a pretty rotten place to live but at least it's better than living in a cardboard box.
