Buying a home at Pulte’s Huxley community on Rowboat Road is a great choice. It is very peaceful and quiet here. Right now, there is a lot of building going on, so it looks a bit messy. But when it is all finished, the neighborhood will look perfect.I want to say a big thank you to the great team. Chris Madren (Construction Manager): Chris is wonderful. He is very polite and always answers quickly. He gives updates on time and is very friendly when fixing any issues. Customer Support: The support team is also very quick to reply to emails. The main reason I am writing this review is to thank Jeff Davis, the President of Pulte's Raleigh division.Pulte builds great communities, but the houses lack some standard upgrade options for the kitchen, bathrooms, and loft. The great location makes buying this home worth it, but I wanted to share my ideas for better features with the management.I am so happy that Jeff Davis personally replied to my email. He promised to consider these ideas for future homes. A great builder should not just care about selling a house. They should care about making buyers happy so they recommend the builder to others. For a company president to personally reply to an email is a fantastic gesture. Finally, I hope Pulte will listen to buyers who ask for small, minor changes in the future. This will help families live happily in their homes. Thank you!

We purchased a new construction home with Pulte, which is marketed as energy-efficient, and have been disappointed with both build quality and warranty handling. Electrical plan transparency During the build, the electrical layout showed a 220V outlet behind the stove and it was not marked as optional. At closing, the construction manager also stated that both gas and electric connections were available. After closing, we discovered the outlet was never installed. The builder later claimed that internal construction specifications — which are not provided to homeowners — override the plans shared during the build, even though the contract does not state this. The issue was classified as “non-warrantable” and deferred to the 11-month checkpoint. The lack of transparency and shifting explanations were very frustrating. Future buyers should get written confirmation of all electrical features before closing. Energy efficiency concerns and cold wall temperatures Pulte promotes these homes as energy-efficient, yet during cold weather (72°F inside and around 27°F outside), thermal camera measurements showed exterior wall corners with surface temperatures between 45°F and 55°F, indicating likely insulation or air-sealing defects. We provided thermal images and requested inspection while cold conditions allow proper diagnosis. Instead, the builder deferred review to a later checkpoint, missing the opportunity to verify the problem when it’s most evident. This is disappointing for a brand-new home. Moisture issue under countertop from dishwasher We also experience moisture buildup under the countertop after dishwasher cycles. Whirlpool service confirmed there are no leaks and stated the issue is due to improper installation and lack of vapor protection. Despite being under builder warranty, we were told this is “by design” and that we should fix it ourselves. Overall, the pattern has been deflecting responsibility rather than addressing construction issues. This is not the quality or warranty support we expected from a major builder.

Love seeing the community continue to grow. The amenities will be so nice when they’re all said and done. The building manager was very friendly and took everything into consideration when closing. The neighborhood is right next to Beaver Creek and Sweetwater which is growing like crazy!! Highly recommend visiting Huxley’s office and speak to Delonte. So far it’s been a great experience and look forward to many years here.
